Got some time to sit down and crunch the stats, so here they are:
C: Yao Ming - Vs. Bulls - 40ppg, 15.75rpg, 2.5apg, 5.5bpg, 1spg, 2.25topg, (17.25FGMpg, 28FGApg = 61.6%) , (5.5FTMpg, 7FTApg = 78.6%) Vs. Nets - 42.3ppg, 13.7rpg, 2.6apg, 2.4bpg, 1.4spg, 3topg, (16.4FGMpg, 31.7FGApg = 51.7%) , (9.4FTMpg, 12.4FTApg = 75.8%)
--Yao played incredible in both series. Averaging over 40 points against Emeka and Sammy is amazing. He has hit the peak of his career, for sure. At least I have been able to put a solid core around him for now, and they are kids that are young enough that they can take over when he leaves.
PF: Lorenzo Wright - Vs. Bulls - 11.25ppg, 10.5rpg, 1.25apg, 1bpg, 1.25spg, 1.75topg, (4.75FGMpg, 10.25FGApg = 46.3%) , (1.75FTMpg, 2.75FTMpg = 63.6%)
Vs. Nets - 7.1ppg, 9.6rpg, 0.9apg, 0.6bpg, 1.3topg, (2.9FGMpg, 10.4FGApg = 27.9%) , (1.4FTMpg, 2.1FTApg = 66.7%)
--Well, he played like a stater against the Bulls, and he played like an IR reserve against the Nets. He did an ok job guarding Emeka though, I will give him that. You think it would be common sense not to take the 13th shot if you had only made 1 of the first 12 though.
SF: Tayshaun Prince - Vs. Bulls - 12.25ppg, 7rpg, 4.5apg, 0.5bpg, 0.75spg, 1topg, (5FGMpg, 7.75FGApg = 64.5%) , (1.75FTMpg, 2.25FTApg = 77.8%) , (0.5 3'spg, 1.0 3'sapg = 50%)
Vs. Nets - 8.9ppg, 6.3rpg, 2.1apg, 0.4bpg, 0.9spg, 0.3topg, (3.9FGMpg, 7.1FGApg = 54.9%) , (0.4FTMpg, 0.6FTApg = 66.7%) , (0.6 3'spg, 1.7 3'sapg = 35.3%)
--Maybe I should have made him an option with those kinda shooting numbers. A significant drop in his numbers when he had to play against Battier, but that's no suprise. If he was to out up numbers all year like those against the Bulls, he'd be a starter next year. However, he doesn't, so he won't be. My new starting SG should be here on Friday.
SG: Mike Pietrus - Vs. Bulls - 10.25ppg, 4.5rpg, 2.25apg, 0.5bpg, 1.25spg, 1.75topg, (3.75FGMpg, 11FGApg = 34.1%) , (1.75FTApg, 2.5FTMpg = 70%) , (1.0 3'spg, 3.25 3'sapg = 30.8%)
Vs. Nets - 11.3ppg, 5.4rpg, 1.6apg, 0.6bpg, 1spg, 3topg, (4.6FGMpg, 8.9FGApg = 51.7%) , (1FTMpg, 1.7FTApg = 58.8%) , (1.0 3'spg, 1.7 3'sapg = 58.8%)
--Well, Mike really turned it on against Petit, something he was unable to do against Drew, which speaks wonders to Drew's defense. Loving thise numbers against the Nets, sans turnovers. He will likely be moved back to his natural position of SF next year, where his speed could create some matchup problems.
PG: Max Guiterrez - Vs. Bulls - 9ppg, 5.5rpg, 10.5apg, 0bpg, 0.25spg, 2.25topg, (3.5FGMpg, 9FGApg = 38.9%) , (1FTMpg, 1.25FTApg = 80%) , (1.0 3'spg, 3.5 3'sapg = 28.6%)
Vs. Nets - 12.6ppg, 3.3rpg, 10.3apg, 0.1bpg, 0.9spg, 1.4topg, (5.1FGMpg, 11.1FGApg = 45.9%) , (1.4FTMpg, 2FTApg = 70%) , (0.9 3'spg, 2.9 3'sapg = 31%)
--I'm proud of my guy. Still with A potential too. He's gonna be really, really good. Book it. I forsee him as a 20 and 10 pg. How do you like them apples?
Overall, I'm proud of my guys. They made my Hoffa trade look pretty damn good, especially with 3 firsts coming my way. I can't wait to get 2 lotto picks on this team, and let the kids wrong wild around Yao next year.
