Raptors: that I have no idea of, and I haven't been able to find any documentation on it. I enter in all the offers for all the teams, then hit submit. It doesn't go offer by offer with me, so I don't know if order entered matters. I don't believe it does.
Warriors: Yeah, it would be nice if it counted a little. But in reality, a teams ability to win next year isn't much affected by prior years.

i am pretty sure that the order doesn´t matter. If you do your offers as you mentioned you are risking to loose all your cap space for gooden.

The Clips are notorious for losing in reality, and no free agents really want to go there... Probably the same with the Hornets, now, after the past 2-3 years. |

Well, 2 things.
1) I think a lot of that has to do with ownership (clips and sterling, hornets and that guy I can't remember).
2) I think a 50 win season in clipperville would change FA's post judgements. Look at chicago, they're the talk of the NBA this year. Do you think Bobby Simmons will bolt LA, after even moderate success this year?

What boggles me is that the win ratings are calculated, and the playoffs are still going on. How can the playoffs not be involved in the win rating? Of course, I complain because the last two years I have upset a higher ranked opponent... My teams must be scrappy  I dropped from a 62 to an 18!!! I will have no shot at FA this year. Let's build to the big class of 09! |

I almost had a 2nd straight 60 loss season and my win rating is at 24.... Because you won 24 games and he won 18. well, after the first season my win rating was 36 and I didn't win 36 games...maybe that was after I got the # 1 pick who knows |

I think I figured it out.
Look at all the teams who haven't won a playoff game. Their win rating is exactly this years win total (including raptors, who got swept in the playoffs).
All the teams who won a series their win rating is this years win total + 10.
So, I think, win rating = This years win total + (series won x 10)
So I guess win ratings will be recalculated after each round.
So, that means the highest possible win rating is 122? The heat didn't have anything near 122 after they won the championship last year. Even though wins matter, I still think that there is an element of randomness involved. It's like the draft lotto. |
