Well, I'm all done trading now. Period, unless a great offer comes along for Deng.
And I know I won't likely contend this year. So I'm looking ahead to FA next year. There are 5 big players - Shaq, Yao, Big Ben, Amare and Gooden, that are all ready to come out, I hope.
Probably Shaq and Yao will resign. Even if Shaq got the max from a team other than the Heat, he would be taking a MASSIVE pay cut. I don't see that happening. As for Yao - he has a loyalty rating of 95, I'm sorry to say. He'll probably re-sign too.
That leaves us with 3, maybe a few more big guns.
Who is gonna have enough space to offer 1 or more of the guys big contracts? Remember, when thinking about cap space next year, you have to add what your player will make NEXT year, not what they are making this year.
I will have just under 23 mil. Enough to offer 2 max contracts to youngster.

You realize that he will probably ask for a cotract starting at a 10% raise from what he made this year...so like 35 million to start...I think that is how it works.

I will have roughly 40 million in salary space before the draft, and roughly 30 million after the draft.
I will offer up some really nice contracts, but, sadly, my high ranking will take a big tumble from last year when I was in the finals.
Expect the Sonics to be a player in the second-tier level of the FA group

really??? in real NBA it's not allowed anymore to have a salary that much....i hope it applies to this sim where did you read this? last year KG´s contract was only cut because he wanted some support. It is still allowed to increase the sal of a player. I think shaq is looking for a two or three year starting at 30 mill in real NBA. In a sim league you maybe lucky an get him for something in the range of 15-20mill a year.

you're allowed to start them at 120% of their previous contract, same as the nba.
I'll have a little over 11 million.

So what is everyones exact total? mine is in my signature.
Remember that the cap is 43.8 million, and that when you are adding contract s you have to add what a player will make next year.
