I seriously question the validity of this trade.  The only way this can make sense, IMO, is as future consideration for a previous trade where Celtics needed to wait for his perfect offseason attendance to complete.  As has been discussed numerous times, future consideration deals are not allowed.

we already had the discussion with Celtics and Hawks before.

hmmm. ok. i guess i must have been gone when that trade went down.

but shouldn't we have one standard for everything? ie how do you prove that money being traded for nothing is an illegal future consideration versus a 2nd round pick being traded for nothing? maybe something has also been spoken on this issue as well and i missed it.

No.  Because the motives for the trade have already been made perfectly clear.

We ask that future considerations are not agreed to when they cannot be sent at the time of the original trade.  Asking for ways to circumvent that agreement all GM's should have isn't exactly what we're looking for.  We're hoping you abide by the rules set forth and don't try to circumvent that. 

You're right, there's no way to prove every trade, so people will be able to circumvent it.  That's why we ask for your consideration in not trying to do so so all GM's are on a level playing field.
