Mock Draft

Here is how I rank this year's rookies. Basically just the order of which I think players may be selected, but without involving draft order of teams. This is only the top 15...

1) Tanner Houbregs(C) - Currently is on the same level as Oscar Ferry as far as ratings are concerned, but his A potential puts him far and beyond as the best center in the draft. Unlikely that he slips past lucky #1.
2) Emmanuel Griffin(C) - Ferry is the better center as of now, but Griffin's potential may attract GMs to select him so early in the draft.
3) Garrett Pettit(SG) - The overall best prospect in the draft, in my opinion. Pettit already has the ratings of an offensive juggernaut, and his A potential only makes him better.
4) Oscar Ferry(C) - The D potential may scare some GMs away, but guaranteed 20 PPG from the start is hard for anyone to pass up. Rounds out a small group of quailty centers in this draft class.
5) Lorenzo Ellis(PG) - Solid ratings all around and B potential make him arguably the best PG in the draft. As I said, arguably.
6) Mason Mercer(PG) - Mercer, as it stands now, has the best overall grades for any player in the entire draft. But his small size and average potental may hold him back from getting drafted top 5.
7) Ethan Terpening(SF) - Easily the best SF in the draft, but his D potential may drop him a couple spots.
8) Alvin Schenk(PG) - Not on the same level as Mercer and Ellis, but a very solid PG nonetheless. Sure to be drafted in the 7-9 range.
9) Ladon Curry(SG) - A decent combo guard but his D potential could cause him to fall out of the top 10.
10) Josh Parker(PG) - Slightly worse than Schenk, but still good enough to possibly make the the top 10.
11) Bob Diddle(SG) - A sharp shooting SG with good defense and B potential. A possible sleeper, if taken low enough.
12) Jamal Del Negro(SF) - Ratings are average at best, but his A potential raises his stock.
13) Kyle Hobson(PF) - Expect 14 and 8 from the PF, if given a starter's role.
14) Juan Cunningham(C) - Extremely poor defense, but the B inside and B potential could allow him to creep into the late lotto.
15) Nathanial Van Exel(PG) - C handling is terrible for a PG, but solid D and B potential may make him a top 15 pick.

nice analysis...I agree taht Petit is the best rated player but SG's are more likely to come along than a 7'4 301 center....which makes your mock draft very accurate imo

That's right. Houbregs is sure to be drafted with the first pick.

You're not alone. I'm hoping for one of the top PG's, but it's not likely that they'll fall to 8-9. As for you, your pick will be way too late. You'll have to settle for Nat Van Exel or Troy Havlicek, at best.

I already have Speedy Claxton...  There will be no 5'6" pg's on my team, I guarantee it!!!!

You won't until the picks are made.

Please go to the draft forum and read the post I made.  I detailed the process pretty thoroughly.

You will know which players are available by which players are available... If you have the 50th pick, for example, you can take anyone that was not already taken with the first 49......

So, accoriding to this mock, I would pick Oscar Ferry, Ethan Terpening and Kyle Hobson. Yeah, I'm down with that
