I doubt it was behind the line after the corner, but the tackle from Scharner to the outstretched arms from Pletovica could hardly be considered a foul ... and then the ball WAS in !

spirited game from the kiddies, i like it

nice game.

we have no idea how to create on offense, but did run a few fastbreaks.
the defense is atrocious at times and responsible for both croatian goals
croatia holds the ball about 65% of the time

and still this is the best Austria has shown in a long time.

(btw, how bad: Austria is ranked 79th in the world behind powerhouses like Katar, Estonia and Venezuela, but still ahead of Panama and Oman !!!)

Can't agree more. This is really getting ugly. 4-1 for now. And we're even playin with our second unit.

told you so, it would get ugly.

it's not exactly our 1st unit playing but we don't have such. every game is sort of a new experiment.
but that keeper we provided was the worst in a long time. fly swatter. I can't remember one save he made and two of the goals were his fault.

btw, Didulica was flawless.

glad it's over, croatia is clearly not our class currently ...

Sure, did you watch that? There's a reason you play at the worlds and we don't.
And, thanks for NOT converting every opportunity.

btw, Kranjcar had some nice moves too. (did you know that his father, Zizo Kranjcar, the Croatian coach playing in Austria for a long time and even got to the european cup finals once with Rapid Vienna?)

Nah, i didn't know that. I know (as i just heard on TV) that ours soccer branch offices are having a close connections and are friends, but i didn't know about his dad. He's a legend, that's all i know.
