I was thinking how funny it is that we all kinda know each other, but on the other hand we dont know each other. It is hard to explain, you guys probably know the feeling I am talking about.
It happens quite often that I sit, read the boards, and laugh a lot. I know who is gonna react and how. Its like a soap opera that you have been watching for a long time.
Feels like you know the other people. But we have never seen each other and we dont talk to each other. Isnt that strange and funny?

Haha...yeah. I mean, being so long here all together we're sure connected. And i do think you can see what kinda person someone is after reading what he writes. The Bible says "What's coming out from your mouth is what lies in your heart" . Off course, it could be total opposite. Maybe this board (and internet forums in general) is just a alter ego for someone. Ones are acting like they would want in real life, but they can't for various reasons, i don't know. But still, after some period of time i think you can see what kinda person someone is. On the other hand, talking about league stuffs, knowing too good each other have negative effects on the trades. If there would be like 7 KingsGM's, 7 Clipps, 7 Nets and 7 CelticsGM's, i think there wouldn't be a single trade. Btw I SWEAR i knew how CelticsGM looks after all the talks i had with him, just by his words! After he send me a Christmas card with picture of his family i was just just shocked and laughing all over the place.

I know what you mean, I only know one person (JazzGM) personally, but it seems like I know most of the active people. I just wonder what it would be like if we all met, that would be really strange to see how people act in person compared to the ssba talks.

I really second the thoughts of ClippersGM on this topic. What I find most annoying is talking to some of the folks here on a regular basis (up to 3-4 times a week) for over a year now ... and still refer to them as "Hello SonicsGM" or alike. Now while our relationship in SSBA probably wouldn't be described as a classic friendship (apart from the "closer" GMs Kings and Pacers), I think it's close. Clearly the Internet and IM services created a new brand of friendships that don't rely on talking and seeing each other but communicating, sometimes on a very personal level, nonetheless. So while it's a stretch that we will all (or even any of us) meet, especially those not being from Philly (and i know i will run into Ivan one day), it's still something special for me being around you guys. So lets keep this going, for the fun of playing and for the "new friendships" ...

Lol, i suggest couple of psychology courses cause it was obvious we were just teasing each other and joking around. Insults? Lol, our debates are mild as can be. Lol, you don't wanna hear how we talk to each other in my neighbourhood. Call it a euro mentality. Oh, and Dirk The Daggler was just a first nail in the coffin, second ones comes tonight. Poor team Austria meets the powerhouse Croatia!!!! I'm predicting a 3-0 blowout. I apologize to Tom in advance.

Austrian kiddy corpse going up against one of the European powerhouses. Our last game we played at home to future wolrd champ Canada (!!!) and lost 0-2. Ouch. Only good thing will be to see two stars from my home team Austria Vienna playing for Croatia. Goalkeeper Joey Didulica, one of the best and craziest in the business, and defender Tokic. These two were mainly responsible my team won the country championships and will represent Austria in the European cup next year.

Yeah, Joey is good. What's going on with him? I didn't follow the whole situation closely, but he won't play for Croatia right?

I think he will play, especially tonight. He's Australian too but he played for Croatia already and he's part of the world champ'ship squad. Or are you referring to the 8-game suspension earlier this season or the (unheard of) legal punishment he received for the foul he was suspended for ?

He's australian croat, like Bogut.
Suspension? Nah, i don't know anything about that, i don't follow soccer that much. I was thinking about him wanting to play for Croatia but since we have better keepers no one could guarantee him any playin time. So i don't know is he in or out, and for what country will he play afterall?

He will have a hard time beating Butina for a starting spot but he will definitely play for Croatia and nobody else. And the suspension was for kicking a striker in the head doing a Kung-Fu-jump while grabbing the ball. Weird scene, and another proof good keepers are completely insane (it was brutal, not completely to german keeper Toni Schumacher knocking out french Battiston in the semis of the 1982 world cup, if you remember. Of course the action back then went completely without punishment while you'd probably face an Artest-like suspension and civil lawsuit if it happened today)
