Argh, damn, there go my remaining three prospects: Olen Cannon, Royal Jackson and Theo Macedo.
 Sad

Back to square one for me now ...

WAIT; STOP; FORGET WHAT I POSTED.

The most dominant offensive force in College Basketball is still available, and he nearly slipped through my fingers. Man, this is crazy, what a guy. Sure he doesn't play a lick of defense but who cares ...
 Cool

Wow...if I had known Hutchinson would have dropped to 20 (I had him 2nd on my list) tehn I wouldn't have traded to get the 11th pick.

#2 rating-wise in the whole draft list (according to my complex formula). So he's a steal at #16 for sure ...

I'm very pleased to get Jackson.  Had him #1 on my draft list.  Hopefully, the FBCB ratings will carry over.

I'm not sure how he could be considered #2  Cool, but hopefully his B potential is true and he can increase his defense this TC.

Sorry, he's only #3 (in college potential ratings that is) behind only Kent and Davis, ahead of Fuqua, Sylvester and Tippett.
Looking at ACTUAL college ratings he'd be #4, surpassed by Sylvester.

Has it occured to you that some people may have a different rating system than you?

So?

Of course everyone will weigh categories differently, if at all, but i doubt you can find a rating system which has Jackson drop all the way to #16.

You quoted NuggetsGM.  Neither of you were talking about the difference between 1 and 16.

BTW, I'm not sure what the love is with Jackson.

In FBB Ratings he's a 6'8" C with a horrible outside shot, horrible defense, and horrible rebounding.  In college he was overachieving in 2 cats, underachieving in 3.  That's +1, so I'm sure his defense is a B or so.

But with C defense and C rebounding, it BETTER be a B.

He's a terrible athlete.  D- quickness, C jumping.  And a brutal defensive rebounder, and not much of a shotblocker.

I mean, he's got some offensive skills (whether that translates into the SSBA at 6'8" we'll see.  I would have actually liked him to go back to college and develop that jumper potential and perimeter d potential, rather than have it combine into the melting pot potential we have in FBB).  And he's probably a decent man-man defender.  But that defensive rebounding, shotblocking and athelticism/height combination would have me worried.

I mean, at #16, that's a decent risk.  But I think he's getting vastly overrated.

I'm with Nets on this one...I didn't even have him ranked in my top 30 prospects.
