I've come to the conclusion that I don't like the CPU managing teams.
(other than teams that have no GM like the Nuggets)

Please post a DC and don't bother to ask me how the CPU would manage your team.
Get yourself an real coach if you're not comfortable with the duties and step down to your GM duties.
This is a league full of veteran GMs that know how to handle teams, so lets act accordingly.

(i know, i'm an example that's probably not always the case, but let's just leave it at that for now ...)
Wink

So if you post "CPU" from now on I will just ignore it and leave your DC as it is.
 Cheers

Of course, an easy way to circumvent this new rule is to simply not post a DC. What shall be done in such a case, Tom?

TOM i think you are overreacting here. If a gm wants to know what kind of lineup the cpu would run in the preseason i am fine with it. but in the regular season he shouldn`t get any money instead of ignoring his DC.
Also i think we handled rule changes different in past seasons, so at least let us discuss such an important part of this game.

well, getting to know what the cpu does is the easiest way to (not) manage your team.
and despite the poor track record of cpu teams that's not what our job here is all about.

if someone doesn't post a DC for the first sim he will get a CPU DC (i'm not going to allow tanking by leaving preseason DCs up). same if a team makes trades and doesn't post a new DC. But I just don't feel any urge to send people that whole DC settings afterwards. you can pretty much guess the lineups used, the rest of the settings and offensive keys are yours to manage.

and of course it's a great idea not rewarding people with DC money if they don't do the required job.
so we'll do that, too ...
 Cheers

(btw, most leagues I know prohibit cpu dc's for a long time, for very much the same reasons ... which i like)

Even as someone who has used the CPU settings in the past, I like it. Forces more input from each GM, adds value to winning.
