nice games spurs, i knew it was gonna be a close one..... Cheers

Thanks, Clippers.  I was surprised the series went 7...I just didn't have an answer to Stockton.  Good luck in the WCF.

I don't care what this thread is... but Hedo Turkoglu with a cold-blooded three! A dagger right into the heart of the Boston Celtics!

the CONF FINALS have started

And it looks like both series might be contested ones.

Of course, everything was played in order in the East, where the home team took all three contests so far, but both games in Indiana were close ones (not so much the first one where the final score was the closest margin , but in game 2 the Magic led midway through the 4th, only to see the Pacers score the last 6 points)

In the West the Blazers lost home court on a Steve Kerr off-night, took game 2 convincingly, then played a great thriller game 3 in LA. Blazers come back from 4 down in the final minute to take the lead on a Bargs three with 4 seconds to play. But in the final 4 seconds of regulation somehow Stockton brings the ball upcourt, avoids a trap, manages a pass into the frontcourt, and Hawkins ties the game on a jumper at the buzzer (FBB does something like THAT in 4 SECONDS ??? Most teams couldn't pull that off in an empty gym WITHOUT an opponent !!!). But when the Blazers score the first 8 points in OT they put the game away.

Next up: rest of CF early tomorrow, then finals, draft preview, and (maybe) seasons end tomorrow evening.

the CONF FINALS are history.

And those were two battles going on. Chronologically, this is what happened:

DAY 149 (games 4): Clippers wipe away the Blazers, leading by 35 after 3 quartes. And Magic take a close game in the 4th to run all over the Pacers behind KJs 47.

DAY 151 (games 5): The Trailblazers regroup and score a fairly easy win to move with a victory to the finals. But the ECF was one of the better games: Pacers pretty much held a slight lead all the way to the 4th, tho never in double digits. In the final quarter the Magic made their run to tie it up early. What did follow was a total of 21 lead changes and numerous ties in the 4th quarter and OT. Neither team was up more than two baskets, and when Hopson tied the score 3 seconds to go in regulation the stage was set for some OT drama. Magic come out hot, KJ scoring 5 points, then Pacers take back the lead, only to see Monta Ellis with 6 straight get the Magic up again. Toni Kukoc gets the Pacers one last tie 7 seconds from time, but - like he's done all playoffs - KJ goes coast to coast for the winner at the buzzer. KJ (10) and Monta (6) score all the Magic' point in OT. And KJ with another great 46/8/8 performance.

DAY 153 (games 6): The Clippers return the favor and hold the Blazers to 80 again (the Blazers scored 108ppg at home and 93ppg - thanks to the 128pt OT win in game 3 - on the road) and win by 15 to force a game 7. But the premiere series is the Magic/Pacers battle. This time the Magic get out of the gates quickly and lead by 23 (59-36) after halftime. But the Pacers wouldn't give up easily and with 7 minutes remaining they tie the game at 72-72 after a 36-13 run in less than 16 minutes !!! The Pacers even lead 79-76 with less than 4 minutes remaining, but run out of gas in the end. Dennis Hopson misses 5 shots and turns the ball over once while KJ, Ellis and Anderson make their shots. The Pacers score only 2 points in the final 3 minutes and end their season prematurely this time. KJ with a quiet 17 this time, but there when it counted. And the Magic with their first ever SSBA finals appearance.

DAY 155 (game 7): Now what did you expect? Honestly? The blazers eclipse their 72 points scored from game 4 with their first points of the 2nd half. They exceed their 80 points from game 6 just 2 minutes later ... and since the Clippers had 49 points at that time this one wasn't even a game anymore. After a 36 point lead after 3 quarters the celebrations of the Blazers first finals appearance sind 2019 - 11 seasons ago - began on the court already. And with the streamers coming down after the buzzer it was clear a new era had begun here.

So get ready to crown a champ we haven't seen here for some time, if ever ...
 Cheers

Wow, surprised to see Pacers were dethroned.

I guess MagicGM's got some LEGIT magic tricks out of his pocket. Whatever that is, it surely work magnificently like how the shamans resurrected Dwight Howard in the past few years.

Congrats to Clippers on this epic series, im glad we won tough.

Skiles was our men, guy scoring 20ppg on 55-FG% and 56-3pt% and 2.8spg is trully amazing, even actually he didnt play well against Clippers (he was over 60 % in both FG and 3pt first 2 rounds) except for the game 7 where he dropped 37pts, 9 rebs, 4 asts, 3 steals shooting 15-19 from the floor, 5-9 from 3pt line and 2-2 FT.

He trully is our hero so far, altough others do their jobs as well.

OMG! It feels like seeing the Magic win over the Celtics on Game 7 all over again. Well, I just hope that we don't have the fate that the real life Magic have. Back in the ECF after 13 years. pfft.

OMG.
OMG.
OMG.

Nice series, Pacers.

Blazers are tough to beat. Hopefully I'd be able to successfully execute another MAGIC trick I have.
