ROUND 2 HAS BEEN COMPLETEDOn day 137 (games 4), the Blazers, Pacers and Magic all landed blowout wins.
Only the Spurs and Clippers had a good one. Spurs led for much of the game before the Clippers came back in the 4th, led by as many as 9, and still had a 6pt cussion with 1:30 remaining. But a turnover, a couple missed shots, and the final 5 points by Kevin Willis had the Spurs up in the end - despite a rare bonehead Charles Barkley play (Spurs got the ball with 15sec remaining and a 1pt lead ... and the Chuckster honestly took - and missed - a shot with 4 sec. on the game clock ...)
On day 139 (games 5) the blazers, Pacers and Magic ended their series. And only the Pacers were slightly scared and needed a Dennis Hopson 3pt shot with 1 second remaining in a tied game.
Thc clippers now returned the favor to the Spurs, this time coming back in the final minutes and winning on two FTs from Leop Powe with 6 sec. remaining (and a Fat Lever miss at the buzzer).
And this is something where I can't understand FBB.
Take the Clippers game: the Spurs are up 1 with 26 sec remaining, yet Chris Laettner takes a jumper with 12 seconds remaining. Completely stupid.
And take the Pacers game: Tied game, 76ers ball, 26 sec. left. And in the first play, Strickland passes to PF Przybilla who immediately takes a 3pt shot - his ONLY 3pt shot in the game - with 11 sec. remaining. Can't even discuss that one, as Mashburn, Petrovic and Dawkins had made 24 of 38 shots combined in that game at that point.

On day 143 the Clippers finally took care of business, storming from a close 33-27 game early in the 2nd quarter to a 99-66 lead late in the 3rd quarter. Poor Spurs getting bullzozed here.
So Pacers - Magic and Blazers - Clippers are the DF matchups ... and will start later tonight.
