First trade

Nets trade:
Adam Fortson

to the Grizz for:
Colin Lenard
*Nets purchase TPE for $400 to cover difference in salaries on Grizz side of the ledger - the TPE plus Grizz 2.6 mil in cap is enough (in the checker) for this to work.

Second trade:

Nets trade:
Sean Elliot

to the Grizz for:
Nothing
*Nets purchase TPE for $400 to cover difference in salaries on Grizz side of the ledger.

Fortson, Elliot and a bunch of cash for Lenard and David Robinson *prays* is a trade I would make 1000 out of 1000 times.

The Grizzlies accept both deals and thank the Nets for arranging all of the details.

not to spoil the party, but ...

IMO you can't trade a player for nothing unless he fits completely under the free salary of the other team.
if both teams exceed the salary cap it's simply not working.

If that is the case, the Grizzlies will add a 2nd round pick in 2030 to the trade, if the Nets accept.

salary, my friend, there needs to be a salary. A pick doesn't do anything.

You can't reduce Elliott's contract to zero, so the deal needs a salary in return.

Grizz, why don't you just trade for any 2nd round guy, post it up that you're flipping him to me for Elliot, and then we're all set?

Grizz, have a new solution, hope you don't mind. Just went with what you said you'd be willing to do. See the other thread.

Ignore this whole deal, please, Spurs. Posted as a new three-way deal. Thanks.
