Raptors Trade:
Patrick Ewing Quintin Dailey Isiah James Franklin Edwards $250 towards trade exception added to make Raptors package match salary
Mavs Trade:
Greg Kite Paul Pressey $150 towards trade exception added to make Raptors package match salary
Raptors agree. Trade will need to wait for restrictions to be lifted from Kite and Dailey.

Mavs agree, need a second option to go with Hubbard and a backup PG to Payton.

I thought I had a contender with the team I had, but the results of last year proved otherwise. With this trade I'm looking for Buck to be a clear #1 option with balanced scoring behind him. I hope Willis, Kersey and Pressey can handle the secondary offense. Defence should be alot stronger now adding 2 A defenders to the team.
Much has been said about what Kite can do. I'll give him a starter job to see just how good the defence can be.

I like it a lot for the Mavs. In my opinion Pressy doesn't have any net value, given his contract. He's an ok starter if you have 2 or 3 guys who can score the ball -- but the Raps only have 1 guy who can do that unless Chapman plays well above his ratings.
So essentially I view this as Kite for Ewing, which is terrific for the Mavs.

Agree that he's not a good #1 or #2 option but how many guys that can fill out the stat sheet like Pressey?

Quite a few it seems to me, and with better scoring.

unbelievable onesided trade. both pressley and kite are role players at best and their contracts are horrible. kite is at best scenario a ben wallace light with maybe 9pts 10 rebs 2blks and paul might avg. something like 14pts with bad shooting %. if the raptors still had ewing and buck to pick up their lack of scoring i would call it a great trade for depth but with only buck as a scoring option the raptors really are now challenged on offense.

I'd like to generate more of a scoring balance. If I can get 7-8 a game from Kite, 15-16 from KWill, 22-23 from Buck, 14-15 from Pressey and 13-14 from Kersey I think we'll be just fine offensively. That's in the 75ppg range from my starters, looking for 20 collectively off the bench. Salley, Sapretesein and Wiggins will handle most of that.

It will be interesting to see how this one plays out for the Raps. Mavs got the best player, so the edge goes to them.
