Modified playstation 2's and the process of burning games?

I just picked up a modded ps2 on Monday, the first time I have ever owned a game console and I'm pretty pumped about it. It came with about 40 games that were burnt to DVD and they all play fine, but I cannot master the proces myself. If anything knows anything about it, I downloaded my games from bitgamer through utorrent and tried to burn them using ImgBurn. When I try to swap the disc it gives me the message "not a valid ps2 disc".

I'm using swapmagic as the swap program and sony dvd-r's as the DVDs.

Any help would be very usefull. I would love to not have to pay for games for this thing.

my recommendation would be sell it because you arent active enough in my sim leagues as is
