I don't understand.

pretty easy finding reasons for that record, but IMHO it all starts with this: you can't shoot.
your .419 fg% is 2nd worst in the league (*), and your whole frontcourt of Stip/Gminski/Bias is at a combined 36%. All that while scoring nearly 50ppg, so they take a LOT of shots, rather say they MISS a lot of shots.

combine that with .494 opponent fg% (worst in the league by a landslide, next are Wolves at .471) and you know you are in trouble. You are next to last in shot blocks, so that doesn't help in that regard.

taking care of the ball is also is an issue, Ransey getting 5.4topg is horrible.(note: I told you before, in the trade thread "well, let's hope Sura or Porter can start PG as there's no way Ransey should ever get close to ball handling", so no surprise there).

Wait, we doing bad because we aren't playing offense or defense very well? You sure?  Laughing

I got that. I just didn't get why we are shooting and defending so terribly when I have an arguably better team than I did last year with similar settings and this wasn't nearly as big of an issue. Especially the defense, my starting lineup goes B/A-/B-/A-/B+. Not amazing but that's certainly not bad enough to give 111 PPG while playing normal/slow tempo. Gonna mess around with my settings.

Ransey is definitely getting moved to the 2.

Ransey is a cancer at PG, that is why so many teams have moved him for less than his ratings would usually get on the trade market, and why the only success teams have had with him is when he plays SG.

7-0 sim and sitting on top of the west.  Handed the Blazers and Rockets their only home losses of the year.  We are playing great with a road heavy opening schedule against several playoff caliber teams.  Party is over though as Fat went down in the final game and will miss 7 days (6 games - 5 on the road)...including 2 against my closest division rival, the Mavs.  Now I get to see how solid my two youngsters at PG are.

Haven't had time to break down the individual stats.  I do have 11+ scoring differential, 7+ rebound differential.  I lead the league in FG% and have 34+ FT attempts per game - +6 over the next highest in the league.  At the same time I am top 5 in FG & 3PT defense.

I am getting great play from Barkley at SG:

21.4 pts 10.0 rebs 3.0 assts 1.0 stls .588 FG% and all as a non-option in my offense.

Guess Bulls know that themselves by now. Ransey at the point is a desaster. Which makes the question that more puzzeling, why they started him at PG in sim 2 AGAIN, especially since they have 4 other PGs ...

We cannot beat the Warriors for some reasons.  Went 0-5 against them including the Playoffs, lets hope we don't see them in the playoffs this ygear. Alcoholic

3-3 for the Rockets this sim.

Not a great sim but we look to be a much more solid team than last year.

I am happy we are moving in the right diretion with a good young core of Tarpley/Bogues/Fortson/Polynice and 3 draft picks this year and hopefully the Kings will continue to struggle to increase the value of that pick

Two other things I'm wondering:
1) I wonder why the Pacers always seem to have my number?
2) I wonder if Tom is sleepy today? Not as many comments on last nights trades as would usually be expected
Laughing

well you can?t defend my guards would be a good start. but letting my backup guard scoring 23pts on 5 of 5 3pointers isn?t helping either Laughing

Yeah, a backup guard shooting 9-11 and having a career night never helps. And the past several years, I had a guy who was supposed to stop your guards - turns out he played them like a sieve.  Bash
