Well, play for winner should go in my favor.

Anyway, I'm not going to change my bids for tommorow, i just hope against hope that I get a guy with the MLE or LLE.

I am really happy with this. I will have a balanced team now. Still future financial flexibility and youth and best players are locked up. I am very happy with the re-signing of Sampson in LA. He did a great job last season in limited minutes.

Question: Did I sign 2 players to the LLE? Sampson and Bell?!  I thought this was impossible??

You actually had 1.3 million in cap room, clips.  Since you had more cap room than the LLE, you didn't have to use it for the first guy.  So you signed one guy with your 1.2 million in cap room, then the following with the LLE.

Woohoo!

I got Aaron Williams!

Yes, I like Aaron.  He'll be a nice backup.  Can score, and isn't a liability on defense or on the boards.  When Boozer was out he almost single-handedly kept me out of a top 2 pick, bastard.

And yes, he's vastly overpaid.

But guess what, since he was my own FA, I didn't have to use my MLE or anything on him.  I'm already over the cap, so I'm not hurting my flexibility there.  and I'm not paying out the money.

So I just acquired an 8 million dollar expiring salary to be used at the deadline for nothing Wink

Yeah, but you lost the use of your MLE now, didn't you?

Wait...  the way I read the rules, you cannot use the MLE if you have more then the MLE in cap space available.
Are you saying that once you use up the money, you can then use the MLE???

you can use the MLE as long as you don't have 4.5 million in cap space.

But that is per day, and not per the year?
That is the part that seems odd...

If the nets have 5 mil cap space, and sign aaron willaims to a 8 mil contract, then they are now 3 mil over the cap. period. so now the can use the mle and lle.

That is very much unlike the NBA, and I am glad that I now understand...
Thanks for the explanation...

I'm somewhat pleased to get McInnis with the MLE...  His ratings were solid, and i "Needed" a back-up PG...  The thing I really like about him is he has a better Ast/TO ratio than Nash...  Now, hopefully i can pick up one more piece in day 4...

On a side note - I have a stockpile of SF's...  If anyone's interested in one, please send a PM...  I am in need of a Center...  He doesn't even have to have that great of ratings...
