Sonics agree.  Taking a slight risk on Jackson, but I like his ability to distribute.

I like that deal for both sides.

Jackson will sure get a starting opportunity on the Sonics and there's reason to believe he'll be the real deal (on a team where he can utilize his key competency: initiating plays. I doubt he'll ever be a proficient scorer, as he averaged about 12-13ppg over the peak career years.

The Sixers get a pick, one that might be nice (a ka lottery) since the Sonics hardly have a functional team right now and FA is always a gamble. If that ends up a top 3-5 selection they will come out big winners. Manning, Smits, Richmond, Chapman, Majerle.

Clark may have all potential in the world, after 2 TCs it's down to 75-80 and watching him perform he's hardly more than a backup role player now. But that does also fit the Sixers who have no intention to contend anytime soon (*). There's no starting spot for him anyway behind Harper, Dr. J, and the Mailman, so no pressure and Christian will have a 2-yr audition to prove he belongs.

(*) though i can't believe the league will grant them another near-tanking job this season. So let's just assume Julius will return to 35 starter-mpg from his 25 backup-mpg soon ...

one addition: NO, i'm not sure the Sonics are that team yet, or will be. But IF a team is likely to be it's the Sonics, as they managed to put together great scoring (with limited other skill) teams in the past and he'll be perfect to run these.
