Very strange to see the leaders in the Western Conference make this large of a trade, but what the heck, it's only a game Smile

Nuggets trade:
George Johnson
Xavier McDaniel
Kareem Cunningham

Warriors trade:
Don Collins
Bennett Fuqua

Warriors cut Blake Monroe for the needed roster spot...

Nuggets accept.
Easiest deal I have ever made. I proposed it to him, he accepted. Very nice dealing with the Warriors.

Why for us? Why mess with a team that is 30-6? Well, I cant help but feel they are vastly overachieving first off. Secondly, I am sorely lacking some interior rebounding consistency, and Fuqua brings that.

I just hope that the defensive downgrade from George to Collins doesnt kill me. I am hoping the better offense makes up for that. I know Xavier's real pot, and he is likely to stay around the same type of player for his whole career. While good, it doesnt help me win now as much as Collins does. Fuqua is a big upgrade to Kareem, who is a waste of space after his TC decline.

For the Warriors, I think that George Johnson and Don Collins are equal.
And getting a possible future 1st option type player in Xavier McDaniel was too good to pass up.  Bennet Fuqua is a very good player, but I feel that the Warriors are currently on the decline, so it is time to start retooling...

Really?  I mean, his ratings are nice, but at some point the production has to catch up for him to have that kind of billing.  I could see him as an option one day, but I'm not sure I ever see a #1 option.

but stranger things have happened.

Well, if he continues to improve, he could become a 1st option...  right now, he is about a 3rd option, imo.
You never know what might happen Smile
