to Denver:

Chauncy Billups

to Phoenix:

NENE
Voshon Leonard

With Billups being the only player dealt from my side of the deal, this one should be good to go

I accept.

Billups is a great replacement for Miller.  Miller insulted Kiki and I with his contract demands (pretty much wanted a max deal), so we decided to move on.

Lenard didn't really do much (especially now with Ray Allen on board) and it was tough giving up on Nene, but I was able to cover his loss through another deal.

Nuggets are trying to be a bit more offensive-minded this year, so we'll see how that works compared to the defensive mindset employed last year.

My reasons for this deal:

Billups is one of the top 10 pg's in this league, but i have 2 very young pg's on my team right now, and i'm comfortable with Havlicek starting and having VanExel and one of the pg's that are in fa backing him up.

NENE, is a very solid big, with 2 years left on his contract, and will provide me with a good interior def presence, and some ability to score, wether he starts, or comes off of the bench.

I can play Odom at SF, and start NENE, or he can come off the bench and be a good second team player, being that he'll be playing against second team PF's.

Leonard is an expiring contract, but his A- outside will be good off of the bench with Rip, and he can provide shooting to space the floor for Kobe and Odom to slash to the bucket and score there. i think i'm a little more deep with this deal

Questions: was Billups recently traded? Because if so, I believe that the rule is he can only be re-traded in a 1-for-1 deal.

However, I am usually wrong.

Billups was recently dealt, but its my understanding that as long as he's the only player being dealt from my side, he can be re-traded.

Aww crap, I'm pretty sure that if Billups has been traded within the last 60 days, that it has to be a one-for-one deal, which would screw this, and my other deal, all up.

But shouldn't the offseason count for a bunch of days?

If you go to the rules section , look under "Who can't be traded" and it will tell you the rules, Billups CAN be traded, he is the only player that i am trading, so according to the rules, this trade is accurate in terms of all players being eligeable to be dealt.

Yeah, based on how that's written, you're right.  But I could've sworn that Nets said that it had to be a one-for-one deal.  I hope you're right though.

He has to be the only player sent out. But the team can recieve more than one player. As for the trade, it looks pretty even. The Nuggets needed a PG and they get a great one here. For the Suns, they get a good young PF with potential. But can Havlicek handle the load as the starting PG?

Yeah, I love this trade for the Nuggetts. IMo, Billups is UNDERacheving with only 14 and 8.

Nene is a good PF, but I think the Nuggs get a bit of a steal.

I think this trade is good for the Nuggets, it will be good for the Suns once we see how much Nene will improve, right now he's just a pretty good PF

It's as long as he's the only player sent in a deal, just like the real nba.

anyone remember the sheed deal last year.  Hawks acquired him.  one game later he's shipped out to detroit for Bobby Sura, Chris Mills, Rebraca and 2 first round picks.

I also like this deal for the Nuggets.  I realize the Suns had Havlicek, but he's not a guarantee.  And you still should be able to get more for a good starting pg.  We'll see what Nene turns out to be.
