Very sweet 8-2, Celtics are back on track.

6 road wins this sim, with Jazz, Rockets, Bulls and Wizards especially nice. That Jazz win was pure payback to even the home loss earlier this sim, and something special since leading scorer Wedge was out injured. Oh, beat Kings too, but more on that later. 2-2 at home sucks tho.

Starting PG Malcolm Trump went down after a great season so far subbing for longterm injured Maxi Gutierrez, and in came my 3rd string PG Isiah Laettner. Guess what, in his first start he got 14pts/6ass/3to on 22 shots (made 4). 5 steals were nice tho. Luckily it was only Scott Demler & the Cavs he played ... and we barely escaped. Fortunately, the next day Maxi returned, and playing backup PG Laettner immediately provided 22pt/7ass/3to  on 10-12 shooting over the final 2 games.  Against Uner/Gresham/Sleepy. Strange ...

In my win against the Kings, starting SF Evan Hunt held Orlando to 4pts/2reb/3tos while getting 12/11/1 himself. The rest of the sim evan did little but hold his ground. Guess there is some Ethan in him after all ...

In the 3 games without PF Shane Wedge, all wins, replacement Ed Priddy got around 16ppg, 13rpg ... and some 3+ TOpg. As I said, i'm 2 deep everywhere ...

 Cool

Nets are 11-2 since Milner returned. So at the same time the Heat are slowly dropping, the REAL force is ascending. Thats the way it should be ...
 Cheers

Pacers lost at home to the Lakers. I'm at a loss for words ...
 Bash

Defending champions Hornets slowly seperate themselves from the rest of the field. With every loss from Pacers/Bucks/Celtics/Nets here and there the gap widens. Hands down fav's to repeat ... unless Sampson doesn't like the backup role for the rest of the season ...
 Bounce

And what role will the Hawks and Pistons and Raptors play? Doesn't look like one of these will miss the playoffs (unless the canadians get back on track, which i'm sure they will, but it will be too late), and they mix games looking dominant with mediocre outings. No consistency so far, but all the assets to give someone major headaches come playoff time. Very interesting season in the East so far ...

Out West, the top 4 teams are seperated by one mere game (and Jazz 3 losses back are not done either). Cool stuff, and somehow I think this might be the chance for the Nuggets to come trough. Mavs lack durability and Warriors arguably a better frontcourt, while Spurs are just 17-17 since starting the season 12-1. But anyone of those could represent the West in the finals, and on paper I still give the nod to the Mavs due to their big game experience and solid defense ...

Pretty happy with a 5-1 sim. Creeping up the playoff ladder....Heat are in our sights and the Celts....well, they've played more games, so if we can keep up this rate the rest of the way....shame the schedule was laid out the way it is (with all of my games against the Celts and Hornets early)....but that's the way it is.

Again, balanced scoring, but a shade too many TO's.

6-2 sim with Manute in the fold, including a nice win over the bucks.  Both of my losses were 1 point losses.  Haven't had time to analyze everything, but Manute was impressive.

in 30 mpg, he put up:
8.9 ppg, 11.2 rpg, 3.3 bpg, 1.8 spg

He did an even better job on the glass than I figured, and the steals are a huge bonus to get from your C.  Over 5 steals + blocks completely transforms my team defensively.

Now I just need to get a handle on this team offensively.

Didnt realize we only played 3 games this sim, but went 3-0, blowing out all 3 teams (Wolves, Kings, Sonics) by a combined score of 376-313 (avg 125.3ppg to 104.3 against). My team shot outstanding % all 3 games: 61.8, 51.8, 54.8, averaging 57% for the sim (which makes me feel better about my bigs not getting rebounds).

Evans had a career-high 20 assits vs the Kings, and Magic was close to his career-best that game with 46pts. Magic was also 2 assists short the first game, and 1 assist short the 3rd game for triple doubles.

Creeped up to within a half game of the division/conference lead. Its very tight at the top, as Tom alluded to, and it really is anyone's to lose.

Averages over those 3 games:

C - Zollner
23.7min, 12.7pts, 5.3reb, 0.7ast, 2.3stl, 1.3blk, 59.1%fg

PF - Borgmann
31.3min, 20.7pts, 6.7reb, 1.3ast, 1.0stl, 1.0blk, 58.3%fg

SF - Xavier
35.3min, 13.0pts, 7.0reb, 3.0ast, 1.7stl, 0.7blk, 2.0to, 61.5%fg, 57.1%3pt

SG - Magic
39.3min, 30.7pts, 10.3reb, 6.7ast, 3.7stl, 3.0to, 53.1%fg, 63.6%3pt (7/11)

PG - Evans
40.3min, 22.0pts, 7.0reb, 15.7ast, 1.3stl, 0.7blk, 3.7to, 68.4%fg, 85.7%3pt (6/7)

sub - Kareem
29.3min, 15.0pts, 5.0reb, 2.0ast, 0.7stl, 1.3blk, 54.8%fg

heehee, this is a definite possibility. like what I did with Amare in DJSL.

Man, I can't believe I missed Macy's and Stockton's POTW awards. Boo me. Stockton and Macy have both been incredible the last few sims.

A very good sim for the Hawks, 5-2, against mediocre competition, but it's still promising.  Peter Shabinger is playing the best ball of his career in his 30's.  Bill Laimbeer seems to be coming around after I messed with the settings a bit, he's been a great rebounder of late.  The east is very deep, it will be tough to hold on to a playoff spot the way everyone has been playing of late.

3-1 sim, with a 1 point loss to the Pistons...  Not bad Smile

Made Fuqua the 3rd option off the bench, and he played pretty well, including 17 and 19 rebound games.  He has really helped the squad's rebounding performance...

Barton is slowly rounding into form, his shooting percentage has been climbing every sim.

I kinda liked this sim and this new Blazers team.

Beat Clippers (all 5 starters with double figures), lost to Suns (which consted us #8 seed, were 1GB behind of them now).

Hakeem took us to a big win over Wolves with 47/13, continued with another 43/10 perfomance in a win over Sixers.

Lost two then to Pacers which is no suprise, Akeem again was big with 38/8 3 stls and 3 blks. Phelps had a triple double in 1st.

Then lost again to Mavs.

Great sim, considering our 3 out of 4 losses came against leading teams of East and West.

Team looks great now, cant beat top teams, but im happy we won other games.

Next sim should tell a lot more about this new Blazers and if our legends Buehler and Phelps whore back in town can bring good
things or not with their experience + Hakeem.

Raptors have a slightly better, but still rather ugly 3-5 sim. Need a trade.

Scored 96.1ppg. Gave up 100.8.

Swift starting @ C - 12.3ppg, 9.6rpg, 1.6apg, 1.4bpg

Mike starting @ PF - 19.9ppg, 8.8rpg, 1apg, 1.3spg

Buck starting @ SF - 14.7ppg, 11.2rpg, 1.8apg, 0.5bpg

Schader starting @ SG - 12.4ppg, 2.3rpg, 2.4apg, 3.3spg

Ransey starting @ PG - 16.6ppg, 4.9rpg, 9.8apg, 1.5spg

I like the balanced scoring...and the balanced rebounding. I think I might try this lineup once more to see if the results improve.
