Well, I'm going to have to disagree with Spurs, for two reasons, although I understand where he's coming from.

If we try it by quantifiable means, then we're still leaving it up (somewhat) to the discretion of the computer.  Who makes all-star games, all-league teams, MVP's, etc are seemingly completely warped in my mind.  For example, this year Kyle Macy and Michael Robinson were first team all-league SG's and SF's.  They're nice, but they're not the top of the league.

Second, trying to assign numerical value to these awards would end up being just more work for commish's during an end of year that already requires a lot of manual work.

Keep in mind, if we find unworthy people are making it to the hall, we can always revise the rule.  I don't think it's going to be an issue.  I think we have a very good group of knowledgeable guys who are going to vote judiciously and separate SSBA accomplishments from NBA.

Gonna stay clear of the team they enter the Hall representing?

I like the idea, and see no problem with acknowledging the league's best players - but I do admit that I don't feel the same conviction about the issue as the rest of you. Here in SSBA, you guys have stronger feelings about recognizing players accomplishments than I do about my wife.

I voted yes, because I think it would be cool.

I don't think we need quantifiable means of determining who goes in. That's not how it works in real life. Plus, 75% is pretty tough to achieve.

with 84.2% voting yes, looks like this is a new rule.  Time to get those nominations in!
