lol, I planned on doing it  2 different, if some other people like this idea just say something in this thread and I will think about it.

2nd sim 21-40.  I was going to do it 2 different schedules but that would involve me putting in a whole new depth chart, even for the people who don't change theirs.  So 2nd sim would be 21-40, it doesn't matter to me though, I can run the same days twice with 2 different lineups.

hm.. cant you save the file after inputting the whole dc and run preseason 1? so that you won't have to re-edit the whole for preseason 2.

yea, but I meant with 2 whole different schedules it would be a pain.  I saved before I advanced to next season so that the schedules would be different for pre-season and regular season.  But I am going to save after I put in the DC's, so I can either do 21-40 or 1-20 twice.

I would prefer running days 21-40. 

Reason:  some teams will play only 10-12 games in the first 20 days and others will play 17-19 games.  If we run the same days then those same teams will get the same number of games.  By using days 21-40 then the overall schedule will balance out more so that most teams will have played a similar number of games.

i like magic's idea...since your would be facing the same opponents on the 2nd preseason thus you would easily compare how well your DC is..

if you run day 20-41 on the 2nd preseason sim it would be difficult to comapre it in the first preseason sim since you would be facing a weaker or a stronger opponent....

I think alot of us probably plan on changing our lineups drastically between the two and it's so much easier to have seperate stats for each preseason

i don't agree with being able to see a different roster against the same teams...real teams have to try out different rosters and a lot of times takes them until the 2nd half of the season to figure it out, i think we, as fictional GMs to keep the legitimacy of the simulation, need to go through the same problems...

if anything, I would be for somehow forcing individuals to carry on injuries from preseason to the regular season, if we could find a way to force them to place those individuals on the IR. Real teams wouldn't be playing their stars 30-40 minutes a game, we'd have the optino to still do it if we watned, but we'd be responsible for injuries that'd occur...now if we forced them on IR for example when the regular season came up..if they were supposed to be out 21 days, perhaps we'd only force a 2 sims on the IR, or if it's 26, perhaps 3...if not just vote to round down so that 21-29 days would still be forced on the IR for 2 sims, just so there's at least some possible consequences for all the advantages that the preseason sims give us.. only problem is it would create extra work for the commish
