Does anyone use thunderbird as their primary e-mail client?  I'm real close to making the switch.

http://www.mozilla.org/products/thunderbird/

you need a pop3 or imap mailbox though, i'm not sure if you'll be able to check your hotmail e-mail from there (I don't remember if they allow pop access anymore.  I know yahoo doesn't if you don't have a paid account).

Outlook can be secured, if you aren't an idiot.

Twas no personal jab at you.  Anything can be secured, just that there are just so many apps and clients better than Outlook out there, and they come fairly secure.

If you turn off the stupid preview pane (which was an absolutely stupid idea of microsoft's right up there with active x), and the execution of scripts, Outlook's pretty secure.  Outlook's bugginess comes from what it has turned on by default, which most people don't know to turn off.

Outlook Express, on the other hand (two COMPLETELY different products.  I wouldn't touch Outlook Express with a 10 foot pole), should never have been released.
