boy oh boy... I'll be hearing it from Ivan :S

anyway, Andris and Dwight were really effective downlow. Al J still needs to make adjustments at the 3, but he's done well playing really good, IMO.

Whew...man this sucks.

Who would have thought one player could make this much of a difference?

I've went from people calling me the team to be to a lock to miss the playoffs. But oh well, a lotto pick in this draft is certainly not gonna hurt things.

Jackson has gone down too, meaning Dickau will get his chance to impress for sim 12. I've never had this kind of luck with injuries before.

Actually, now that I look at it, I lost Jackson LAST sim, but didn't notice.

lol bods is there a limit for injuries a team can get  We have rules!

started this sim with priddy and carrol at C and PF... Lol 2
even with this 2 i only lost 1 game in the last 10   Screwy
then JO and Tanner came back.. and the oldies came to town ivan you know who i mean.. Laughing
destroyed them with 4 of my 5 starter scoring more than 20 pts
But as always english went down with an injury  Bash
the next 3 games i lost because all of the sudden no one could hit anything
rocky did a solid job as starter avg. 18/5/7 but without any backup PG he had to do too much.

but even with this problems i am now at 6 and will try to climb higher. but i have no problems to face the celtics this year in the POs. I think i am still unbeaten against Tom in the POs  Bounce Cheers

unfortunately its over the race for #1....now only have to try to take Kings spot, 1GB behind, Hoffa earned POTW, Clipps
sealed their #1 spot, lost all 3 games to them, two without Telf at home and with him away, they're 5.5G ahead now,
impossible to catch....was a 4-3 sim with all 3 losses coming from the Clipps, too bad i couldnt beat them at least at
those 2 home games to keep up the hope for both my team and Kings on grabbing #1.

-15 vs Clipps.....Hoffa as usual, good, 21/16, Bird did well with telf out, near triple double 13/8/9 6stl but again had
TO problems, this time 7.

-16 vs Clipps...pretty much the same game as first, Hoffa 36/13 2stl 1blk was unstoppable but FO few mins before the
end of the game, unfortunately there was no help from others altough all starters shoot 50 % or more, Bird had 13/13 3stl
but 5 TO's again....was even voted POG...Both teams shoot 49 FG, but game was decided by Clipps 3 pt shooting and a lil
better FT %.

Then came wins...

@Lakers +19...Hoffa great 44/12 performance, Telf back with 15/11 4stl, Buehler 12/22 (career high rebs) 3blk.

vs Bucks +6...Hoffa 26/13, Buehler 14/14 3stl and blk, Telf 10/9/11 near triple double performance on horrible shooting and
Mark Bird alike TO's.

@Grizzlies +4...another hard earned win....Clement led scorers with 18/4/4 4stl,  Telf 18/6...Cunny 17/5/18 played great
so Hoffa remained on bench second half and played just 14 mins with foul trouble for poor 11/3 stl performance.

Back to playing Clipps and back to another similar loss...this time by 20 in L.A....Hoffa clipps cant stop...34/12..but
unfortunately they always stopp pretty much all the others and win easily.Clement 18/6/5 and Buehler 13/12 both on 50 %
shooting had a good perfomance as well...all others failed, especially Telfair who just cant stop Ben...maybe even Bird
was playing better on defending him.

No Clipps and Blazers continue to win....

+5 vs Rockets......Hoffa 36/15 2blk 1stl, Buehler 18/7 3stl 2blk, Telf 15/12...Cunny and Clement great as well...only
Bosh played bad in this game.

let's get this off the table first: POOR IVAN.
Just as he had completed his "i sweep everybody calling me old" tour he found out what his team is worth when one of the ancient stars goes down: little. Poor ivan ... oh wait, i said that already ...

fine sim for the Celtics again. 6-2 to move into the 3rd spot in the East (courtesy of the suddenly losing Heat). Not sure if that's an advantage but I guess you have to go through the Nets if you want to win anyway, and if it's in rd 2 or 3 doesn't really matter.

Scoring wise it's a dream currently. Over the last 2 sims around the deadline we averaged
113ppg, 55 rpg, 29 apg on 50% shooting holding opponents to
95 ppg, 47 rpg, 21 apg on 43% shooting. Jolly good ...

My forward rotation has really carried me this season. This sim Strait got the start, had 15/10 and played rock solid defense. Boozer was his usual steady self with 17/11/4 and even Griffin averaged 15/8/3 from the bench. The main reason for our big rebounding advantage.

I'm especially glad i kept Boozer. He may not be the best defender, but when you got a big man who averages 18/11 on 51% (he didn't start for 2 sims) without offensive focus I can easily take that.

Let's see if i use the last sim for some experiments ...

Next sim...

@ #9 Jazz 2-1 (two easy win and 2pt loss)

@ #12 Bulls 1-0 (complete destruction in game 1)

vs #2 Nets 0-1 (see above)

vs #5 Warriors 0-3 (2 easy wins)

@ #8 Grizzlies 3-0 (2 easy wins, one very hard earned)

vs #14 Sonics 3-0 (easy)

Would really love to pass the Kings, playing Warriors whom prolly be 4-0 vs my team in round 1 would be a really tough
task to pass.

if i get a 5-1 sim im pretty confident i'll get a better record then Kings, but for that i'll need to beat either Nets
or Warriors and pass over Grizzlies in a tough Memphis clash, seems impossible...but there's always hope.

a 4-2 sim that im expecting would need a poor Kings sim...

Kings have much easier sim as well...hopefully Nets and Pacers will beat them and they're get 1 more road loss, that
might be enough for my team, but there's not much hope.

either way its gonna be very interesting.

http://ssba.phillyarena.net/boxes/110-4.html Laughing Chills POTG
Now what exactly did he contribute to the 33pt loss except scoring 30 (from the boxscore it seems many of those in garbage time).. and let Marion get 24/6 on 70% shooting himself ?

I win by a landslide, shoot 58%, 57% from trey, win every statistical category and FBB decides Chills was the most valueable player on the court ??? What for, to prevent a 60pt loss ...  Laughing

trev, don't get this wrong, i don't want to tease you. i know perfectly well the Raptors are hurt, but this serves as one of the examples for the bad FBB judgement ...

Wow, the Cavs are red hot, having won 10 of the last 11 games. A lot of the wins came against very good teams, too. All of a sudden my guys learned how to play some defense. We held the Kings and Hornets each to 72 points, which is amazing, both blowouts. I may end up going against the Hornets in the 1st round, and although I wouldn't like that, it seems that I match up well with them. The season series is 2-2, and both losses were by 5 and 2 points respectively. So the Cavs are looking good, hopefully they can keep it up in this last sim and into the playoffs.

a poor 5-5 sim...currently il be facing the magic who is not a good matchup for me...i would rather have the celts than the magic...hopefully i can get on top of celts next sim...

this would be the first season that none of my players got injured...at least in the last 110 days  Very Happy

Well I can't say that I'm terribly surprised....that game does seem to take intangibles and such into consideration.

Chills did drop twice his season avg on one of the best defenders SSBA has ever seen.

Jazz went 4-3 and am 6-4 in my last 10. Meyers put up a career high 30 points against the Raptors. Rivera rebounded a lot better at C, but fouled a lot more due to his lack of size at C. Now 13 games since the trade here are Drew and Gresham's updated numbers:

Drew:

19.2ppg, 5.2rpg, 3.5apg, 1.2 spg 0.9bpg, TOpg 1.9TOpg in 34.4 mpg. shooting 51% from both the field and three

He had a 28 game performance

Gresham:

16.0ppg, 4.6rpg,6.4apg, 1.5spg 0.1bpg, 3.3TOpg in 30.3 mpg, shooting 47% from the field and 44% from three for the season.

I would like to see Gresham not turnover the ball so much but if anything he's playing as well if not better than Nelson and obviously he gets the advantage when it comes to his age and potential. Drew goes from being a filler to a steal in that deal averaging more than i expected in pretty much every statistical category.

Currently 1 game out of the playoffs behind the grizz. I wouldn't mind sliding into that 8th slot being i have the grizz's draft pick and would have a shot of making a run in the playoffs. The timberwolves are also wlaking on thin ice and I match up with them this next sim. The worst case scenario for me would be for the Grizz and I to make the playoffs and the twolves to get pushed out.

Chills did drop twice his season avg on one of the best defenders SSBA has ever seen.

you really believe in that?

Well I guess then he was dropping 26/8 on the BEST B+ DEFENDER in the history of the game HERE:
http://ssba.phillyarena.net/boxes/108-6.html
I'm sure those 26/8 did prevent a much bigger blowout loss again and beat Elton's 24/14/4 with 2 stl and 2 blk in importance for the game.

And Billy Joe Kim did have a great game against Griffin, who's only B defensively (at PF) but being the 7th leading scorer and leading rebounder in a losing cause is enough for the program.
http://ssba.phillyarena.net/boxes/90-8.html

No, sorry, it's a lot easier:

FBB uses a simple algorithm to select the POTG: whoever has the highest combination of pts AND reb or ass AND has no TOs (or at least more steals than TOs) plus MAYBE some blocks AND shoots a fine percentage (or one of the least bad in the game) gets it.
Winning is irrelevant, his team could lose by 55. Opponents are irrelevant, he could play against Ronny Roof. And defense is completely irrelevant, his opponent could be Daniel Deal and score 40 himself.

So let's just agree FBB is utterly crap in that regard ...
