+ i could have also traded everyone and then announce that i quit, so it's the same. I mean, techically this is mine team until i resign. If you're going to resign, resign. I'm not processing any trades of a lame-duck GM. |

While I agree with all of you veteran GMs that a leaving GM shouldn't do a fire-sale on his team, have you even recognised what's on the table here? Tinsley for expiring - hey, thats a fair deal considering that salary. TD for whatever - the chances of him even getting a chance to be dealt are slim at best. He will most likely retire and if not he makes more than 73% of the salay cap. Again, exp + pick is fair. TMac for expirings + picks - now this could be the only deal to prevent, because he's easily the best player on this team too. So this is not like a 24yr old future superstar is traded for an expiring contract ...  |

But, if Kings is really going to resign, then allow the next GM to make the decision on whether he wants rebuild, retool, or give it another try with the squad. |

Well, technically the Nets could fire you, and technically, he could reverse all the trades you made. You're not exactly in a position of power in this situation. |
