Cavs cut Predrag Drobnjak to make room on the roster for this trade. Grizzlies agreed to the trade last night through a PM to the Nets, so bring on the comments... Very Happy

Just realized that the trade as is would not be able to be done until day 51. He can keep Mosio, and to replace his salary have him sign Nazr Mohammed. So it would be Richardson, Nazr, Snow, and the two picks. This does not affect the trade in any way for him. He just keeps Moiso, which is a bonus.

The only potential snag I see is if he already had 15 guys.  Then, he couldn't sign Nazr.

Nah he had 11, and signed two guys for himself, making 13. Snow and Mohammed that he signs and trades to me makes 15, so it's alright.

I tried to edit my post, but the Edit button wasn't there.  Yeah, after I wrote that, I saw he didn't have a full roster.  So as long as you cut Drobnjak first, I sign him and release Nazr, and then Grizzlies signs Nazr and puts him in this deal, it's okay.

But I'd make sure that you post the Nazr signing for Grizzlies over in the other forum before someone else snags him.

I'm about to sign him, actually. He could start at PF for me.

a blockbuster

i'm torn on this deal. First i really like that the Cavs get a good younger SF and two 1sts. VC isn't gettng younger and now they opened major cap space this year.
The Grizz may hav found the missing scorer to move them over the top and into the upper echelon of Western teams. Not for long but for now.

On the other side, the Cavs lose a 28ppg scorer. They really seem to have found a nice mix last season and with the other Vince and Chamberlain getting better, Strait now on board with Brad Miller (as long as he can lace 'em up) they had a GREAT team. Not only good, GREAT !!! I had them penciled in for a deeper playoff run and likely top4 team in the East.

Now they are still good, but good enough to win big NOW ?

Fact of the matter is, Vince had to go. Sure, he is one of the best scorers and overall players in the league. But he didn't fit in with my team and its young future, and I just didn't think my team had enough in it to be one of the elite this year. I had been toying with the idea of trading Vince ever since I signed him two seasons ago, but I could never settle on a deal that I liked. All that waiting cost me, so I had to trade him before his value really sank. Now my team and a great young core with a handful of future picks, and being in position to have a lot of cap space this off-season. It looks good...

Guys, the Grizz hasn't agreed to this yet. Let's wait on the comments.

This isn't on topic at all, but can someone tell me what this face means?:  Razz

I think I use it inappropriately sometimes.

(Is it obvious that I have serious procrastination issues?)

I had agreed with you 100% at the beginning of last year, even at midseason.

But after the 2nd half last year, the playoff run (i know you beat nobody but the Celtics, but it were five games i was dominated from start to finish I had to face) I think you had much more chnace this year, especially after all the staff around him improved ...

but it's hard to argue with a younger talent (20ppg scorer recently himself) plus two (albeit low) 1sts
