friggin swept. I guess it's better than losing in 7.
16-0 playoff run by the sonics. best display I've ever seen.
Dirk grabs 22 rebounds in teh last game. And you guys complained about Emeka. At least Emeka's not a C+ rebounder.

So are we doing nothing for the next 3 days? Just submitting re-signings. Once everyone gets theirs in I will do the draft order and allow free agents to be seen. But we won't bump the draft up. Which is good. I've got real world stuff to do

No, I was blown away.
I knew you were a worse matchup than the Clips, probably the worst in the conference, but I thought I had a better player at every position (with the possible exception being pf), and a much better overall team.

Matchups mean everything. That's why Dirk is so amazing.

Interesting.
Sonics were -0.6 in rebounding differential for the regular season.
I was a +4.5
so what happens? I got outrebounded by 4 per game in the finals.
Turnovers? I was +1.5 in the regular season. Sonics +0.7. In the finals Sonics were +1.5. Huh?
With all due respect to English, Boykins is clearly the better at preventing turnovers. Yet he had 4 per game in the finals.
That's the difference right there. Rebounding and turnovers. 2 staples to my success. Categories I dominate in. I knew Dirk standing at the 3 pt line would hurt rebounding, that's why I moved Okafor to C for the first 3 games. Didn't help.
Points per shot were just about the same (1.14 to 1.15). I had Pettit getting 33 per game. Boykins 23.5. Okafor 21.3. Pettit shot 53%, 55% from 3 pt. Boykins 53%. They had no answer for me.
I had Okafor getting 12.5 rpg. Miller off the bench for 9.8 per in only 25 minutes. Dalembert getting 11.7 per.
Dirk with 14 rpg? Against Dalembert and Okafor? I can see Camby getting 12.5. I'm fine with that. But Dirk? A C+ rebounder?
Losing the series on rebounding?

Congrats Sonics. I've never seen a dominating performance like that in an FBB playoff

here's why the Sonics won...
Camby's excellent defense took care of Emeka.
Dirk's outside game took Sammy out of action.
Kundla's defense against Pettitt's offense.
Nick English's great overall game at the point with several options to dish too.
Peja off the bench and Dickau's ability to handle the ball = solid SF play.

Talk about the way to rebuild. Sonics were in the finals in '05, decided they didn't have what it took to go all the way, began rebuilding through the draft, got a little lucky with some picks (Kundla), made some key trades, and they win the championship 4 seasons later. Good job

Good to know I was swept by the unbeatable team. Congratulations Sonics, the best plyoff run we will ever see.
