Celtics trade
Vlad Radmanovic Eddy Curry
Heat trade
Pau Gasol Earl Watson
(remark: Watson was an addition forgotten initially, fixed that ...)

ah....celtics just got everything they needed for their team. a true #1 scorer AND a very good rebounder (their biggest weakness). Also improved their frontcourt defense.
Al, Gasol, Lenard, Gnobili, Elliot. Very good.
Of course, being 7 games back of the 8th spot, it could be too little too late for this year. But if nothing else it should get that pick out of top 10 range.

i like it for both teams
gasol is the first pure PF the Celtics ever had. Vlad wasn´t needed anymore with the emergence of Lenard. Kaman,Darko,AL will form a great frontcourt for the celtics.
the heat get two starters for one who are still young and their contracts are solid.

That's a great trade for the Celtics.
Curry and Radman both shoot pretty bad percentages...
Obvioulsy so do Pau and Earl but I think they have the can turn that around. Pau should average 20/12 for the Celtics....and I love Earl, even made a run at him.

Why do I do this ? One word: Star power ! Now since these are actually 2 words, i might as well explain it more detailled: I am waiting for 2.5 years now for Curry to break out. But he still mixes 32pt games with 8pt games regularly, with his defense solid but up-n-down as well. Now Radman was all I was hoping for last year, the leader of the young pack. He regressed slightly this year and seems to have dropped off at either end of the floor. So I gave LENARD a tryout last sim and while I'm sure his 22ppg on 50% shooting won't hold up for the season, he still seems to be able to replace Vlad's offense. Defending the better SF will be a problem, but I still rely on team defense to pick up the slack here. (I attribute last nights worse defense more on the fact that Vladimir was hopelessly overmatched on PF against the KGs - and even the Collins' - of this world) Expect to climb the standings now, still having the post season in view ...

Eddy Curry: 15.6ppg 8.8rpg 2.1bpg .417FG% Vlad: 15.1ppg 7.4rpg .436FG%
For
Pau Gasol: 17.6ppg 11.2rpg 1.7bpg .416FG% Earl Watson: 6.4ppg 5.6apg 1.6spg
I love this trade for both teams.
For the Celts: They obviously got the best talented player in the deal in Gasol.
AL J Gasol Lenard Gino Snow
For the Heat: Although they lost a star player in Gasol, their +7 points differential is enough to compensate that. And IMO, curry is somehow the poorman's version of Pau Gasol.
Carl Harpring Eddie Curry Vlad Q Damon Jones

I like this for both teams, at this point. But it leaves both teams with a hle at a specific position.
The Heat get a good offensive center in Curry, and a nice all-around player in Vlad Radman. Vlad will slide into the SF spot, moving Q back to SG. Harpring and Curry will likely start at PF and Center, which is a big frontcourt, but very slow.
The Celtics get a real nice player in Gasol, and a good back-up pg in Watson. Watson is a nice replacement for the loss of Andre Miller. Gasol is a pure PF, very effective scorer, but not a guy that can truly lead a team. He will be a nice fit with the Celtics. AJ and Gasol is a nice offensive frontcourt. Now there is a SF hole for the Celtics. Ginobli can play SF, and Lenard is a nice offensive SF. definitely will be seeing more scoring from the Celtics now.
