Ok guys, fill out your playoff brackets for a chance to win a great price (The Raptors' 2010 2nd Rounder Smile Laughing )

We do one round at a time.

1 point for a first round correct guess, 2 pts for 2nd round, 3pts for 3rd round, 10 pts for correct champion.

2 pt per series per round for correct number of games.

2 pt per series per round for correctly predicting the leading scorer.

Bracket:

Eastern Conference Round 1:
----------------------------------

# 1 Raptors vs. #1 Hornets

Winner:__________

Number of Games: ___________

Leading Scorer: ______________

That's the format. If you don't do it in that format, I won't count your entry.

All, right, only 6 entries is pretty poor, what with 29 teams. You can still submit an entry up until sim time.

Current Standings:

1. Nets 15 points
2. Sixers 13 points
3. Celtics 12 points
T4. Raptors 11 points
T4. Heat 11 points
T4. Kings 11 points
T4. Pacers 11 points

Correct prediction of 2nd round winners will be worth 2 points. Also, correct prediction of Leading scorer and number of games will be worth 2 points.

IMPORTANT: PLEASE DO NOT CREATE A NEW POST WITH YOUR 2ND ROUND PREDICTIONS. PLEASE EDIT YOUR OLD POSTS. SAVES ME ALOT OF TIME SORTING THROUGH POSTS.

MAKE SURE YOU CHANGE ALL THE HEADINGS TO ROUND 2.

Well, as everybody's calculating scores, for your convenience here's a quick rundown of the series leading scorers:

Peja (31.0) over Yao
TD (32.5) over Petitt
JO (28.6) over somebody
Amare (35.1) over Ray

Dirk (24.5) over Booz & Fin (19.8 each)
TMac (23.5) over Gordon (21.8)
Hughes (21.8) over VC (21.5)
KG (26.8) over someone

hard to win when your leading scorer is held 13ppg below his season avg., otherwise, little surprises ...

...

apparently not, as the standings are incorrect. I got
Nets 15
Sixers 13
Celtics 12
all the rest 11

or will you tell me the # of games won't count without the correct winner ???

(for verification, I got correct: Raps, TD, 5gm & JO, Magic & Amare, Mavs & 6gm & Dirk, TMac,  , TWolvers & KG - making it 12 right)

now since there are just 3 participants left for the pool, it get's way easier to finish top 3 ...

Rd 2 scorers:
Kidd (27.7) over Peja (27.3)
O'Neal (25.2) over Petitt (23.8)
KG (23.8) over Dirk (21.8)
Hughes (25.6) over Kiri (25.0) & over Maggette (20.6)

(and to assist RapsGM who's sure busy preparing his troops for the ECF)this leads to the following 2nd rd scores:

Raptors: 10 pts
Nets: 8 pts
Celtics: 12 pts (got TWolves AND Jazz right, hehe)

so the STANDINGS after Rd 2:

1. Celtics:    24 points
2. Nets:       23 points
3. Raptors:  21 points
4. Sixers     13 points
T5. Heat      11 points
T5. Kings     11 points
T5. Pacers   11 points

So with 3pts waiting for the next rounds all participants still have a chance ...

Number of Games: 7
Leading Scorer: Peja

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Western Conference Finals:

#4 Timberwolves  vs. #6 Jazz

Winner: Jazz
Number of Games: 6
Leading Scorer: KG

now there are just 2 participants left for the pool ...

Rd 3 scorers:
Peja (26.0) and JO (26.0) tied over Yao (25.7)
KG (30.3) over KvH (20.1) over Hughes (19.3)

(and to assist RapsGM who's sure licking wounds)
this leads to the following 3rd rd scores:

Nets: 15 pts
Celtics: 12 pts

so the STANDINGS after Rd 3:

1. Nets: 38 points
2. Celtics: 36 points
3. Raptors: 21 points
4. Sixers 13 points
T5. Heat 11 points
T5. Kings 11 points
T5. Pacers 11 points

So with 10pts waiting for the finals, the winner is still undecided ...

... and easy to find: I got to get more predictions right, otherwise the Nets win.

 Very Happy

Again you're right, your not only a great GM but a great mathematician as well ...

Because Peja and JO both shared leading scorer honors, my proggi missed the score there, so additional 3pts for both of us !
