now my season is done. lost also foster for the rest of the season. now borchart can show if he is worth the money.
only positive from the last sim is that i had a great matchup with the wizards. Even without foster i dominated inside.

My season is lost now (aka howling with the wolves)

Highs and lows go hand in hand - and the quest for the title has come to a close:
- VanExel shows some promise in his first start at SG, hitting 4 of 5 in 6 minutes ... only to go down for the rest of this sim.
- Curry shows some surprising success at the PF tryout and leads my troups to a surprising win @ the Clippers Staples and Brand.
- Snow came back with practically a complete refurbished skull (the old one broke) only to go down again after 4 (pretty good) games.

And I had just ONE game I wanted to win badly: against the Pacers (I have their pick AND they lost 4 of 5 before) and guess what happens: My starting PF (CURRY), my starting SG (VanExel) AND my starting PG (Snow) MISSED the game ... and my backup SF (Pietrus) went down after 9 minutes. Of course I lost, bad luck!  Confused
sidenote: in the wake of the injuries my starting backcourt measured 6'3, 6'3, and 6'4 against Fisher, Redd and Artest.

So with just 4 games left and my PG still on the shelf it looks more and more likely I'll miss the final goal this season ... catching the Spurs and avoiding last place. Crying or Very sad

But as always, spirit is still high, Luisetti found a new bakery for even better donuts (an italian relative) and the guys can't wait to work out in the offseason for the next BIG target: a playoff run next year.  Cool

well just as i predicted. mcgrady went down and my team went 4-4 with some ridicilous loses from suns and knicks.

Varejao steped up big time!! having a games of 24pts, 23, 14, 17, 27 and 26 points!

also Gooden was pretty good; 13/13/3, 22/10, 14/14, 11/20, 15/7. i think he'll be alright.

Francis was havin some pretty good games also; 16/8/6, 12/9/7, 4/13/7, 7/12/4, 11/7/4 and he's not even my option. he' s a good alround player despite turnovers.

lots of misterys still going on. losing to suns and knicks WITH mcrgady and beating the magic and rockets WITHOUT him Rolling Eyes

anyway, Mcgrady is out just 1 more game and Radmanovic only 4 more so when they come back i'll see how good this team really is.

with Radman back in my lineup my defense is all A- and with the guy like mcgrady i think i can go deep in the playoffs

OK, crossing fingers for a playoff spot...

I am also hoping that the Suns can stay in that 3rd to last spot and maybe I'll get lucky in the lotto, I would love to get a top 3 pick, because I have some holes in my lineup. Livingston can play SG, so I can select a pg, sg or pf with the pick. That gives me some great flexibility to take the BPA.

There are some rumors that Tim Duncan may have a broken toe that would prevent him from playing for the rest of regular season.

Stats looked good, results didn't.

Team: 94 ppg, 45.7% shooting, 48.4%
Opp: 87.6 ppg, 38.4% shooting, 33% 3pt.
Lost turnovers by 4 per game though.  Opponents took 13 more shots/game than me.

Okafor: 22.2 ppg, 12.3 rpg, 2.9 bpg, 44.5% shooting.
Pettit: 23 ppg (only took 18 shots/game).  5.2 apg, 5.8 rpg, 48.6% shooting, 41.4% shooting, 91.7% ft.
Billups: 12 ppg, 10.5 apg, 47% shooting, 57.1% 3, 92.9% ft.
Dalembert: 12 pts, 10.3 rpg, 3.7 bpg.

Okafor held opps to 35.5% shooting, dalembert 30%, Pettit 35.9% and 14.3% from 3.  Pettit's been playing well defensively lately, after struggles early in the year.

Incredibly inconsistent.  When I won, I won big.  When I lost, I was incompetent.  I want to play with the lineup a bit, but I still need my games.

There are also some rumors that the REAL Tim is a soft whimp screwing up under pressure who is unable to get his team a national title in two deciding games at home.

... wonder which of these rumors comes true first !  Laughing

4-3 sim for the Hawks, Tanner player great getting 3 player of the game's as a 3rd option that's pretty good, my team looks good and a piece or 2 away from really competiting...I'm hoping my lotto pick, late 1st, MLE and TC can get me into the playoffs next season
