well i'm very satisfaid with my second rounder pointguard kevin stankovic. the kid is great so far and my first backup to bibby. B+ defense and B handles; 3ppg, 2.3apg, 0.5 steals in 10 minutes a game.

Ironically, all six of the players I drafted are no longer with the team. The two rookies I have now have been solid. Benjamin Piatowski is averaging 8 PPG, 5 RPG, 4 APG, and 1 SPG in 27 MPG. He is extremely versatile, and his near 3:1 assist to turnover ratio is very impressive. He'd be just a terrific player if his outside shooting and defense can improve slightly. Tony Curran is averaging a decent 4 PPG, 5 RPG, and 1 BPG in 16 MPG. He has great defense and a nice shot-blocking ability. I like my two rookies, but you never know if they're here to stay...

Garces became a solid backup point guard for the Clippers.
In only 11.4 mpg as a backup he averages 3.8 points, 2.5 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.0 turnover.
I would like his field goal % to go up, but overall I am satisfied with .402 .783 .400.

The only rookie I have gets no PT. Yeah, that's a problem many All Star teams have these days. It's an extension of the "Larry Brown" syndrome, named after the godfather of rookie-confidence-killing-by-nailing-them-to-the-bench ... Brown: Rookie: Star: (aware that the padded stats thru increased playing time will put an extra "0" at the end of the numeric value on his paycheck soon)

The Spurs got Mark Bird with the 30th pick. His ratings went up +1 in 4 different categories in TC to C+, C+, B+, B-, C with B potential still. And he is 20 years old. Playing back-up PG (17 mpg) he is averaging 6.8 ppg, 2.8 reb, 2.8 asst, 1.0 stls. His shooting % are a little low but his career highs are 25 pts, 12 reb and 10 assts. He has been player of the game twice and has 2 double doubles.
Our first round pick, Cole Sapp (18th pick), is only 19 years old and has a great shooting touch....56.1% FG and 46.7% from behind the arc. Major problem right now is finding him enough floor time. With Sprewell going down with a broken arm it is hopeful that the rookie will get more playing time and continue to impress with his shooting. Bird's ratings are great. Like I've said before, it's a shame that you can't keep 2nd rounders after two seasons. When you get a good one, like Bird here, you are just like every other team trying to sign him in free agency. So, it sucks...

So, it sucks... No its even WORSE. Like in the NBA you are allowed to offer your OWN free agents only a maximum starting salary of 120% of LAST YEARS salary. So that means, SpursGM is only allowed to offer Bird a starting sal of $ 559.020. I mean that's a joke for such a player. I have no idea if this is valid too if you let this player officially enter FA, but since, as long as noone else signs that player he's basically YOUR FA, I doubt it very much. Under these circumstances, the earlier request, i believe from HawksGM, to add a 3rd year on 2nd round contracts upon request really makes sense ...

But since his loyalty rating is the lowest of the three I am afraid I won't have his services after next year.

So can any other team in the league. That's why it sucks. You can't "re-sign" your 2nd rounder player.

So can any other team in the league. I wasn't saying they can't. I was replying to the CelticsGM who said he could only offer him a starting salary of 500-something thousand.

So can any other team in the league. That's why it sucks. You can't "re-sign" your 2nd rounder player. In the NBA you are limited to the monetary amount of the MLE anyway. And you do have an advantage. Any loyalty rating the players has will go to you, so it is much more likely he will sign back with you.

C Raymond Bee - 31st pick overall. Still has A potential. Averaging 6.3pts, 6.6rebs & 1.0stl while shooting 43.1% from the floor and 72.7% from the line - in only 19.4mpg

If you're over the cap, you need bird rights. Meaning 3 or more bird years. Which 2nd rounders don't have. So...
