Devin Hinkle has been great with the 11th pick...
26 mpg, 4.5 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 0.9 apg, 1.7 spg, 0.4 bpg, 1 tpg on 49% field, 90% the line, although 30% from 3 pt land.
Great mid range shooter, and has been starting since the 2nd sim, so he is putting up those number against starting SF's and SG's.  Has been a great complementary player.

And why would you say that?   Rolling Eyes
The title of the thread is Rookie Evaluation, not rookies between picks 15-58 who make a contribution...

So since everyone praises his guys, here's my take on the Celtics 07 rookie crop:

Bailey Snow
is a solid contributor as a starting PG but not the natural leader I expected him to be. while 10ppg/7apg is nice, a 2:1 ass/to rating with A- handling is not. And breaking your skull in the middle of the season is simply unexcusable ..
Johnny Duncan
can be a fine 5ppg/5rpg guy when given the opportunity (which hasn't been to often with all the big guy rotation so far). He's probably some TC's away from being good ...
Jorge Strong
is the biggest surprise for me so far. A 10/10 PF with 2blks he seems best suited for a backup role right now as the starting assignments have hurt his shooting productivity. I still marvel at the fact that I actually had to be forced to take him on as a filler in the Mash/Raef trade ...
Andrew Sedran
follows ... but won't be too optimistic either

one and a half out of 4 is decent, i'd say

I don't have one rookie who hasn't done a great job for me this year....

Sad

I had 2 straight ROTY's.  Obviously that's going to end this year.

The Spurs got Mark Bird with the 30th pick.  His ratings went up +1 in 4 different categories in TC to C+, C+, B+, B-, C with B potential still.  And he is 20 years old.  Playing back-up PG (17 mpg) he is averaging 6.8 ppg, 2.8 reb, 2.8 asst, 1.0 stls.  His shooting % are a little low but his career highs are 25 pts, 12 reb and 10 assts.  He has been player of the game twice and has 2 double doubles.

Our first round pick, Cole Sapp (18th pick), is only 19 years old and has a great shooting touch....56.1% FG and 46.7% from behind the arc.  Major problem right now is finding him enough floor time.  With Sprewell going down with a broken arm it is hopeful that the rookie will get more playing time and continue to impress with his shooting.

very happy with Evan Lo. As the 14th pick, he had come out and put 11 pts in less than 19 ,inutes a night backing up collier. his rebounding and block numbers leave something to be desired, but hopefully his d pot is wrong, and he'll start to improve.

Well, I think this year the rookie of the year should be pretty much undisputed...
No one is even close to English at this point.

No argument here.  English has stood out above the rest of this year's rookie class.

While English is far and away the best player in this years draft, my late 2nd round pg Thor Majerle continues the line of great pg's from New York Wink ...w/B- outisde and B+ defense he averages 2.3 pts 1.3 asts and .9 steals in 13 minutes playing in only 8 games...he'll get off the pine if he has another good TC
