btw, as I might add, Al Harrington is a scoring machine.. he averages 6pts in 12 minutes..

and BIg Dog is so full of offense... his percentage is not 50%

This season is the polar opposite of last season, where I played way more road than home games until the last 2-3 weeks.  I'm a little nervous about how good my team actually is, because we haven't played many powerhouses, and we've had a lot of home games.  But Camby is playing great defensively; it's his offense that sucks.  I wonder just how much the move to PF is reflective of his increase in stats.

Day 34 will be a sad day at the Pepsi Center.  Ray Allen's return will surely be a sentimental one.

nothing vs your team, you have one the best teams out there but the last 6 games were;

bucks - one of the worst teams in the league
lakers - one of the worst teams in the west
cavs - 2 games above .50 + they're up and down with all these trades

celtics - nuff said

spurs -  one of the worst teams in the west
that's my point...

Evil or Very Mad NOW WHAT EXACTLY DO YOU WANT TO IMPLY WITH THAT ?  Twisted Evil

I'll be a force to be reckoned with. A dynasty in the making. Just tinkering with my lineup now to find the best combo.  Idea  Getting a feel for the system settings. Playing Darko  Very Happy - I mean, do I really have to say more ...
Just y'all wait for my playoff push in the 2nd half.

btw, I got another road W, na na na, hey hey.

Kings, when you keep forgetting about the game against the Heat.

But I would venture that I have played some good teams. I haven't had the toughest schedule, but it hasnt been the easist. The majority of the teams I have played play good defense, which speaks volumes to my offense.

And I've played the Magic twice, the Kings twice, the Pacers twice, the Nets once, the Heat twice, and the Mavs once.

That's 10 of my 22 games against good teams. And I'm 7-3.

so you consider the kings a good team afterall? Wink

very surprising results out of the last sim:
i do have now a better away record than home. Confused
last year i had the best home record of the league???
jamison is a monster at pf  Shocked a near double double of the bench in 24 min  Confused
without dikembe i have really trouble to defend anyone
fisher still is a wonderful defender
maybe i will try to give iggy more mins since he can´t find his rythm this year
biggest win so far against the bulls with 3 players scoring more than 20 points.
i will experiment with my lineup till the deadline still not sure which is the best mix.

Well, I think Miller/Webber/Radman/TMac/Bibby should be alot better than 12-11. But I think your team should be better every year.

The state of the Irish ...
Apart from the fun part, we're playing ball too here in New England, so here's a deeper analysis of the Celtics first three sims:

Surprises  Laughing
My veterans have been a huge plus with Barry (22ppg/5rpg/6apg on .550 shooting as a primary fokus) leading the way, but it was PG Eisley (13ppg on .528 shooting off the bench) and SG Hoiberg (.545) giving me unexpected assistance as well.
Eddy Curry has been even better than expected and - funny - after he was relieved of offensive focus burdens his numbers jumped (from 17 to 19ppg, from 8 to 11rpg, from 1.7 to 2.2 swats) to new career highs. Only his D is not up to the offense (unless the opponent is some Yao guy  Laughing ). He'll share the C spot with Jefferson who seems better suited for the 5 than the PF.
Young PF Strong impressed big time averaging 10/10 with 1.8 blocks after starting the season deep on the bench, as did PG backup West, who can fill it up in limited time.

Disappointments  Crying or Very sad
Well, the Darko files have not been solved yet, there's still a huge disparity between expectations and performance. Hee was horrible as a starter and average as a backup, still trying to get accustomed to actually playing ball (thanks, Larry, for completely and convincingly destroying his confidence)

Jury's still out ...   Confused
Bailey Snow, while showing some talent, is no Mason Mercer yet (but has there every been a great rookie PG in this league). His 10ppg and 7apg are relativated by a high A/T rating of 2:1 and subpar shooting of less than 40%.
And finally Mickael Pietrus did show that he can't live up to expectations as well. A mere 7ppg on .400 shooting (as a focus no less) won't cut it in this game. He seems best suited for the backup spot where he can grow into starter standards.

Outlook  Cool
The experimental phase is not over yet as neither the final roster nor the best suited system have been discovered yet. Wins and losses don't worry me too much right now as our final push for respectability is still two weeks (real time) or so away.
There are issues on SG and SF I'd like to settle and if it means giving up veterans to get promising kids on the pine, so may it then be.
We've lost our share of close ones (5 games by 5pt or less) and avoided blowouts so far (just 5 losses by more than 10 points) - that without killing the game by walking up the ball, which I'm proud of, too.

So let's get a couple more W's along the way and see if we can sneak into the postseason  Shocked  with a late season push ...

your spirit and optimism is nice, but i think you should be looking for the highest pick possible, not playoffs...

I'm still experimenting with different settings but have pretty much settled on a DC.

My 6-16 record is somewhat deceiving.  Playing around .500 at home but am just 1-10 on the road.  I am 3-2 against playoff teams from the East but 0-5 against just the Nuggets & Clippers in the West.

Still have a young team (part of the reason for the road record) and am working on the 5 year plan I started when I blew the Spurs up from the start.

Tell me if this sounds like a 3-3 team.
- Outscored my opponents 100ppg to 93 ppg
- Shot 44.1% to their 41.3%
- Made 5 more free throws/game
- Outrebounded them by 2 a game
- Committed 2 less turnovers/game
- 1.5 more steals/game
- 3 more blocks/game

Yet I went 3-3 in that stretch.  Huh?

I'm just wildly inconsistent so far this year.  I'd be more worried about it if I didn't win 53 games last year with essentially the same team, and that I don't have a rookie on the roster.  It's still wildly frustrating though.

I can't even blame this on poor road play.  I went 2-2 on the road, 2-2 at home.

Pettit was dynamite, really loved the uptempo game.  5 of 8 games scored 30 or more points.  Averaged 31.5 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 4.5 apg, 1.4 spg, shot 53.5% from the field, 40% from 3, 86% from the line.

Okafor had some foul trouble (Played 30 or less minutes in 4 of 8 games).  Because of that his #'s were down (19 pts, 12 boards, 3.2 blocks), but he was efficient (44.5% from the field).

Dalembert couldn't shoot, but did everything else well (10.4 boards, 3.2 blocks).

Billups had a bit of a down sim (15/8 ).  Battier had his best sim (10 pts, 6.4 boards, 1.8 steals, 58% shooting, 55% from 3).

Overall, I'm far from pushing the panic button.  Just need to develop some consistency.

Opposing C's shot 37.7% from the field.  PF's shot 37%.  SF's shot 35% (30% from downtown).  Only 2 SF's scored more than 10 pts during all 8 games.  I feel I have the best defensive frontcourt in the L.

you just belive in stats too much. one blowout, like that 115:69 vs sixers, your team stats go way up and that could create a delussion and led you to belive that you dominate in every ascpect of the game, but it's not true...

9 of my 12 wins have been by 19 or more points.

At times I do dominate every aspect of the game.  I'm inconsistent, like I said.

as i see ii your last sim have been a 3-4..
and if you analyse your loses more than your wins you will see that you have been outrebounded and outscored from outside
also in three of your four losses you have been outscored by the backcourt.
it is not only typical youth inconstance it is problem of defending penetration i think.

I was 4-4 last sim.

And yeah, the 3 ball has been my biggest downfall so far.
