Its been slow, so this is my attempt to start a little conversation before the excitement of fa starts tomorrow.
some teams had a great draft, some dident participate,
here are my feelings
Sonics kinda by default had the best draft IMO they grabbed 4 potential starters, and a couple of good role players to come off of the bench.
Celtics and Cavaliers both had solid drafts, I think the Cavs picked up 2 of the more underrated players in the draft in Jorge Strong, and Mike Bellamy.
I liked the Celtics grabbing the 2nd best pg in this draft in Bailey Snow, and getting a project Center in Johnny Duncan and Andrew Sedan in round 2 those are 2 guys that will be good role type players in time.
The Hawks took my top guy in Tony Curran, but I can't fault him. B- inside, and A- defense is hard to pass up.
I also liked the Warriors choice,in Hingle. He along with Lo and Curran were the top 3 guys I had on my board. He'll be a good def player
those teams that dident participate in the draft i think probally had the right idea, so that they could keep their salary positions in order and they might be the ultimate winners in this situation. because the draft is such a crap shoot, they can target established players, and not have to be worried about being stuck with a guarnteed 4 year contract.
So what are some other feelings on the recently completed draft, of if you have and thoughts on tomorrows first day of fa, i'm sure we'd be glad to hear about that too.
Post your thoughts here!!

Sonics are thrilled with how the draft turned out:
#1 Overall Nicklaus English, PG, Weber State (22 Years Old) (6'1'' 182 lbs) English, who was the top player without a doubt in this draft, solidified the Sonics Point Guard position for the next decade or so. Already with A- handles and a B+ outside shot, English's A potential makes him a potential MVP winner.
Outlook as a rookie: 15 PPG, 9 APG, 3 RPG, 1 SPG, 2 TPG
#3 Overall Roberto Dickau, SF, Chattanooga (21 Years Old) (6'9'' 222 lbs) Dickau, who I believed was the second rated player in this draft, slipped to #3 when the Lakers when after size with the #2 pick. Dickau is a scoring monster (B- Inside, B+ Outside) with B potential. This guy will immediately come into the Sonics organization and lead the team in scoring.
Outlook as a rookie: 22 PPG, 6 RPG, 3 APG, 1 SPG, 1 TPG
#4 Overall Chase Hoiberg, C, Missouri (22 Years Old) (6'10'' 223 lbs) Hoiberg, who is considered the most polished center coming into the league this year, was the second center taken off the board and the third player by the Sonics. Already a defensive player (A- defense, B- rebounding), Hoiberg will have to improve his offensive game to be a major factor in the SSBA.
Outlook as a rookie: 12 PPG, 12 RPG, 2 BPG, 1 SPG, 2 APG, 2 TPG
#8 Overall Antonio Lenard, SF, TCU (21 Years Old) (6'11'' 220 lbs) Lenard, who will immediately backup Roberto Dickau at the SF position, brings a B+ Inside Scoring ability with an A potential. As of now, Lenard isn't much more than a scorer. However, with that potential, his C+ defense and outside shot have the chance to improve.
Outlook as a rookie: 10 PPG, 6 RPG, 2 APG
#15 Overall Cameron Stockton, SG, Indiana (23 Years Old) (6'6'' 204 lbs) Stockton, right now, is listed as the starter after being selected with the #15 pick. He has solid SG ratings (B- outside shot, B defense, A Potential) for a rookie. The Sonics are banking on that potential to make this player into a stud.
Outlook as a rookie: 8 PPG, 3 APG, 3 RPG, 1.5 SPG
#20 Overall Shawn Geiger, SG, Charlotte (20 Years Old) (6'4'' 207 lbs) Geiger was selected with the hope that his A- outside shot will blossom into one of the game's best. This pick was a pick for the future, and Geiger will not get much playing time as the roster stands today.
Outlook as a rookie: 4 PPG, 1 APG, 1 RPG
Overall, this draft will be regarded as one of the greatest drafts by a team in the history of the sport. Never has a team had so many high picks. With $17 million to spend on FA, look out for the Sonics this season.

Wouldn't count on that cap money helping you out all that much. After the top 2 in this class, they go downhill real quick, and there are a lot of teams, with very good win ratings, with cap room this year.

I have FA plans that I think will take care of my deficiencies. I may not get Yao or Shaq, but I beleive that I will hit my FA goals. (here's hoping anyways!)

I'm pleased with my draft...
Tony Curran is a good defensive PF to play alongside Tanner...He's like Stromile without the scoring ability which will free things up for Tanner inside
Sergio Miguel-Diaz could be a solid backup with a decent TC, he has B defense and C inside, if he improved he will help me down low
Thor Archibald is basically just a guy I took hoping he improves a lot and becomes a good defensive PG that can play if an injury occurs
I didn't have the best draft, but I think it was great for me as I filled some of my more glaring weaknesses, but I still have plenty weaknesses left

I m thrilled with my draft. I had one position I needed to fill, a defensive SF/SG, and I was lucky enough that the top player with that ability fell to my draft spot.
Could not have asked for a better draft for the Warriors.

Got a highschooler with B+ defense, C+ offense, if he improves even a bit he could be a starter. Not bad for a second rounder, hopefully that scouted potential is wrong

I am very happy with how my draft turned out...
17th pick: Micheal Bellamy He is small, but his ratings were too nice to pass up on. B+ outside shooting that will only improve, if all goes well. Plus, he has B- handles, making him an excelent backup at the 1/2. His C defense is horrendous, but I'm hoping that it goes up in training camp.
21st pick: Jorge Strong He is not a huge prospect, but should be able to be productive in a small role off the bench. B-, C offense is solid, as is the B defense. If he can improve a tiny bit, I will be very pleased.
2nd rounders - Derek Beals(#35) - I think that this guy will end up being a steal. With a position move to PG, his B defense may go up to B+. There also is C+ oustide shooting, C+ handles and B potential. I like the pick a lot. - Darian Williamson(#39) - Just a player with some offense. At best, he could end up being B-, A-, which is very good. That is a stretch, though. C+, B+ is the likely outcome. - Raul Mann(#47) - A PF/C with decent offense. A solid big man to get mid 2nd round. - Mitchell Lynch(#53) - C+ outside shooting is interesting for a PF. He is a good rebounder as well, at B-. With his B potential, I think he is an excellent pick for a late 2nd rounder.

I am pleased with my draft. I needed depth and I got it.
The 9th pick gave me a good PG to back up Gordon. Garces has B outside scoring, B+ handling and B defense.
The 24th pick in the first round and the 22nd pick in the second round gave me very similar players. Baylor and Finley are both 19-year old PF's with A potential. I will be very happy when one of them develops into a solid player.
My team is still very young and has lots of potential. I hope the team will have a good TC. The Pacific Division Champion just got better. Let's see if we get lucky in free agency.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is what's wrong with FBB drafts. How much will Baylor and Finley make in the next 4 years? Yeah, that's what I thought.
