And even with the matchup I was looking for, I still could not pull it off.

Gasol played very well, but Odom had problems with Posey.  And Eddie Jones gets my vote for playoff MVP.  When he was their top scorer, the Grizz won.  We he was not, the Grizz struggled...

Will do my regular starting lineup breakdown tommorrow, but I was wrong in my initial estimation.
It was not Odom that had the problem.  He had 20 ppg, 7 rpf, 4 apg on 47% shooting...
It was Hinrich.  8 pts on 33% FG% and 28% from 3 pt.  Hinrich is really the heart of this team, and he did not play well.

Good thing my top 3 players are 24, 24, and 23   Very Happy

Next year for the playoffs people will PM me their depth charts, so it's private.

If you think about it, coaches don't go to the others before the game and let them know what they're going to do Smile

Also, having it like this rewards players who can be online and 5pm and penalizes people who can't.

We'll keep it in the regular season where you post it publicly, since you're not gameplanning for one person, but the playoffs will be private.

Next year.

Well, here is the full, not great for me breakdown...

Warriors : 84 ppg, 48 rpg, 8.2 spg, 14.3 tpg, 8.3 pg on 45% FG, 24% 3PT, 68% FT
Grizzlies : 92 ppg, 50 rpg, 8.8 spg, 11 tpg, 5.7 bpg on 44% FG, 45% 3pt, 65% FT

Center :
Adonal Foyle : 7.8 ppg, 8.7 rpg, 3.2 bpg on 40% FG and 56% FT.
Ben Wallace : 11 ppg, 12.8 rpg, 2.7 bpg, 3.2 spg, 3 apg on 43% FG and 48% FT

The Understudy vs. the Master.  Big Ben schooled his ex-teammate, showing why he is the reigning defensive player of the year.  Dominated in every category.

PF :
Pau Gasol : 24 ppg, 12.7 rpg, 3.3 apg, 1.7 spg, 1.7 bpg, 2.7 tpg on 50% FG and 69% FT
Lorenzen Wright : 12 ppg, 10 rpg, 1.8 apg, 1.7 spg, 1.3 bpg, 0.2 tpg on 42% FG and 55% FT.

Gasol won this battle clearly, but Lorenzen did what he had to do.  He rebounded very well, and kept Gasol's shot total down (only averaged 20 attempts per game, 3 less then the previous series)

SF :
Lamar Odom : 20.5 pts, 7.7 rpg, 4.0 apg, 0.8 spg, 0.5 bpg, 4.0 tpg on 47% FG, 21% 3pt, 70% FT
Eddie Jones : 24 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 3.3 apg, 0.8 spg, 0.5 bpg, 1.7 tpg on 52% FG%, 54% 3pt%, 100% FT

Well, I would have to give this matchup to Jones, because of his incredible efficiency, and Odom's turnover total.  The two games the Warriors won, Jones was not the Grizz leading scorer.  Out of the 4 they won, he was the leading scorer in 3 of them.
Odd though...  I do not remember any lineup that had Jones at the SF spot, though, which is quite boggling, since he started there.  Must have happened since the Grizz did not highlight Jones and Posey as changing positions from the previus depth chart.

SG :
Marko Jaric : 3.5 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 1.8 apg, 1.8 spg, 1.3 tpg, 0.7 bpg on 35% FG, 25% 3 and 100% FT
James Posey : 14 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 2.3 apg, 1.2 spg, 0 bpg, 1.2 tpg on 39% FG, 40% 3pt, 86% FT

This matchup goes to Posey, easily.  Jaric did a decent defensive job, holding Posey to 39% shooting, but Posey was great defensively on Jaric.

PG :
Kirk Hinrich : 7.7 ppg, 8.7 apg, 3.2 rpg, 0.8 spg, 2.5 tpg on 33% FG, 28% 3pt, 50% FT.
Jason Williams : 12.8 ppg, 9.2 apg, 2.5 rpg, 1 spg, 2.2 tpg on 50% FG,  40% 3pt, 87% FT.

Clearly goes to Williams.  Williams played a masterful defensive game against Hinrich.  This is the matchup that decided the series, and Jason Williams came through big time on the defensive side of the ball.

Could have been.  Or it could be that he changed it after I ran the sim (if you'll notice, he changed it last at like 4:46, which would be 5:46 ET).  But yeah, if you forget to bold things, I do have a tendency to miss them.

He might have...  But I just did not remember Eddie Jones ever being at the SF spot in any of the Depth charts posted...
I am pretty sure it was a bolding error, which worked out incredibly well for the Grizz.  Odom has a tough time guarding small, quick players like Eddie Jones (Vince shredded him in the regular season)  Jaric could have guarded Jones, but not Odom.
Still, a great run by the 7th seed, to make it to the Conference Finals.  Can't wait till next year Smile
