well, i do not believe it violates any rule or sportsmanship if you state that you did offer for a guy (it's not like i laid my offer on the table here)
It has long been a rule here not to complain that you offered a better deal. This has been a rule for at least 10 sim seasons. There's no point in it. Debate whether the person got a good deal, DO NOT DEBATE WHETHER YOURS WAS BETTER OR EVEN THAT YOU MADE AN OFFER.
If i remember the Pistons did state EXACTLY how much they had offered the greedy Ben AFTER the Bulls nabbed him for that 60 mill offer (which in my eyes would be similar to a trade discussions thread). So what.
Not the same at all. When complaining about a person signing elsewhere, there's only one private thing being brought into the open, YOUR offer. When complaining about a trade, you're inviting discussion about an offer that was private from two sides. Whether you get into the specifics of it or not, it's still private that you were in discussion.
Let me make this clear. Do not talk about trade talks between GM's. Not in detail, or not in vague generalities. Do not complain, whine, or divulge private correspondences. Saying somebody didn't get value or didn't make a good deal is fine. Bringing up your deal (in any way, shape, form or context) is not.
