I believe I have about 9 mil, not enough to offer a max deal, but it won't stop me from trying for the big fish

With Z on my team, I won't be seeing cap space any time soon...

Hm...wonder if my win rating will go up if I advance in the playoffs?

Anyway, with a 63, that's very high.  Next highest (of anyone with cap space) is Hornets at 59, but as of right now he doesn't have room for a max contract.  Next highest with room for a max contract is 49, I believe.

Sonics dropped all the way down to an 18 Smile

Should, hopefully, essentially make it a 2 horse race for both Shaq and Yao (with it between me and Miami for Shaq and me and Houston for Yao).

I think decisions in FA re-signing are different than decisions in Free Agency.

Some players deciding to test the market and not offer an extension doesn't mean they aren't looking to play there, just that they want to test the market.

Well, it sucks that I'm down to 48. That blows. But oh well, I'll still try. Yao might want to come to a spot where he knows he will start.

Since the Nets already have 2 beasts at PF and C, and since Bods can't tell Yao that he would trade one of them, then i might have a shot.

Look at last FA period and my MLE fiasco. So many players took the same or less money on a team with a much lower win rating, because I guess they felt they had a chance to start.

Maybe it has something to do with me being Toronto, too. No one in real life wants to come here. I'm being serious.

Just in case that happens I'm changing Both Emeka's and Dalembert's positions away from C Smile

What boggles me is that the win ratings are calculated, and the playoffs are still going on.
How can the playoffs not be involved in the win rating?
Of course, I complain because the last two years I have upset a higher ranked opponent...  My teams must be scrappy   Razz

I think I figured it out.

Look at all the teams who haven't won a playoff game.  Their win rating is exactly this years win total (including raptors, who got swept in the playoffs).

All the teams who won a series their win rating is this years win total + 10.

So, I think, win rating = This years win total + (series won x 10)

So I guess win ratings will be recalculated after each round.

So, that means the highest possible win rating is 122?

So If you win the next playoff round, you're gonna have your choice of FA's. That would put you at 73. it would require 2 more series wins by the Hornets to catch you.

Damn.

Ok, Nets, if I sent you this:

Yao - max
Shaq - 3 year 40 mil (whatever)
Gooden-max

Is that an order it would go through, or does order matter? Because that way I would have a chance at getting Yao and Gooden or Shaq and Gooden.
