Saw Tom earlier working on the transactions etc, so its likely going to be up soon.

What are your expectations?

Basically, I kept my whole team last year in tact and added 2 fine pieces in Aldridge and Moiso. I have a tremendous depth of big man so trying them out is something I would really need in order to know what type of big man combination would compliment my big 3 of KJ, Nick Anderson and Monta.

Hoping to get nice productions from Aldridge, Moiso and Adam Mac to begin with. Very Happy

well, the Magic are right, we're about to kick off the (pre)season with sim 1.

So wait a few more minutes and results will be up.
And then ... DISCUSS !

What are your positives and negatives from the first sim ?
Who did surprise, who did disappoint ?

And what are your expectations for this season anyway ? Lottery - Playoffs - Title ?

I think this is going to be a great and wide open season with lots of fun ...
 Cheers

Wow..

Did Rex Chapman just become the most underpaid player in SSBA history?

For the Hawks, this sim was about seeing who works in Hakeem's system.  Ronny Turaif looked good, but everyone else was awful.  19 games is a good enough indicator for me.

fascinating sim for the Celtics.

9-7 overall after starting with 4 straight losses. But later best teams like the Cavs, Knicks, Wizards, Warriors who played at pretty much full strength. Not all too bad for a team averaging 22.5 years of age in the starting lineup.

Boone's 13/10/2 were rock solid for a late 1st.
Simmons was ok on D, but 6/7/1 won't get him a starting job anytime soon.
Trent proved - coming from the bench - that he'll be one of the cornerstones for the Celtics future.

Hakim, Hakim, not sure what to make of your performance.
Scoonie had some flashes on offense, let's see where he'll get his chances.
 Thumbs Up
And finally, Braden was a ver nice surprise at PG for my understaffed backcourt. 15/5/7 and good D with these ratings is more than I had hoped for. If not for the lousy performance from the line i'd pencil him in for the All-Rookie teams already ...

Well, whatever worked in Hakeems system had to work in Hakeems system without Hakeem.
Pretty interesting conclusion ...

I guess it's in the pace and offense configuration.

Decent 8-9 sim for the backup-laden squad.

There were a few nice highlights, like Gallatin going 5-6 from the land beyond for 17 points, adding in 6 steals. Archibald dropped 33 off the bench, going 14-21 in a game against Sir Charles and the Spurs. Artest had a big game at home early in the sim with 26(11-19)/7/5/2blks. He followed it with 17/13/6, showing me he is clearly going to be there in the future. Brunson had a nice game with 12/15 off the bench. After Artest got hurt, Endacott put up 25 in his first start, leading the team to a 2 pt win. Nice. Fox had 22/11 as starting SF in that game. Artest then came back and dropped 39 his first game back, something I didn't think he could do. Wu broke out big against the Bucks and dropped 27/14 with 2 blocks. Brunson had 21 in the same game. Parker dropped 34 off the bench in the next game. He's such a nice pure scorer.

Lol, yea actually when I first got Hakeem I was having trouble maximizing his abilities and winning.  So, I looked back at how Blazers played late in the season before when they were so successful and have used settings very similar to those ever since, and I've been relatively successful in the regular season at least.  When I say Hakeem's system, that's why, I think Blazers figured out what settings were just right for Hakeem and I've modeled off of that.  So, Thanks Blazers!!

Its not just the settings, sometimes its the players on the court.

Wow...  12-8 with all my back-ups...  Rex Chapman is Ridiculous!!!  29.8 PPG, 4 RPG, 2.9 APG, 1.9 SPG and 2.2 ToPG...  Now I don't know if I want to trade him or Re-sign him for big bucks...

Jose Belov is looking solid as well...  13.2 PPG, 7.4 APG, 1.6 SPG and 2.7 ToPG...

Very nice job by my Bench/IR players...

Having Nick and Monta with the same offensive ratings to Rex, man, I sure hope they produce that way for my team/
