Quick deal after your post on the trade talk board. Doesn't this trade have to wait until day 61 though?

Pure Salary Dump.  Save about 2 million for a draft pick that i think will be bad (late 20's).  Now have room for a max contract in one of the next 2 offseasons.  Also think my bench slightly improved.

Wow, you and me could be fighting for whoever comes out of the big 5 next year (Shaq, Amare, Big Ben, Yao, Gooden)

Yup.  I'll be bidding Smile

Yao and Emeka sounds nice.

Unfortunately most of the top tier talent is in 2 positions I don't need.  But an overtalented frontcourt is easily tradable Smile

The bottom line is that right now I think putting my money in free agency is a better option than putting my chances of someone falling to my pick.  The deal saved me 4 million in contracts for next year.

Yao has a very, very high loyalty rating though.

Damn, now maybe I should go back to our Vince trade?

I'm not counting on any of them.  But you can't get them without giving them a run.

But there are many different avenues to go with on free agencyl.

I know waht you mean. I'm hoping, praying that one will come out, and I'll get one.

But if I don't, I'll just sign a bunch of guys to fat one year contracts, and wait for Lebron, Peja the next year.

Yeah, that's the thing.  Unless I sign guys to multi-year contracts, I'll have cap space until Pettit needs to be re-upped.  Especially then I'll gain 5 mil when Battier comes off, making up for the increases in Okafor and Dalembert.

And LeBron would be the ultimate catch for my team Smile

Battier with 25 ppg potential and handles.   Very Happy

LeBron will be amazing. He will ead this league in scoring at some point.

But after the big 5 this year, there really is no one.
