how can a player who averaged 11.6ppg, 3.9rpg 0.5spg and 0.8bpg shooting .427 get these ratings.
if FBB autocreates those then there's something SERIOUSLY wrong with FBB.

honestly, Chris Paul is one thing, but Andrea Bargnani plain out sucks.

I know...it is crazy but that is what was generated when I entered his rookie stats.

And I know there will be more complaints coming...either I missed someone's favorite or FBB generated to strong/weak of a player compared to real life.   Screwy
no complaint, just stating some observation/experiment I came up with
(and last season I got EXACTLY your ratings with Chris Paul's rookie numbers)

well, i used Bargnani's rookie numbers and put them into FBB (editing a player from the draft list) and this is what I came up with:

I used these numbers:
Season 2006-07
G ... MP ... FG .. FGA . 3P .. 3PA .. FT .. FTA . ORB . DRB . AST . STL . BLK . TOV . PF
65 . 1629 . 267 . 625 . 100 . 268 . 117 . 142 .. 52 ... 203 . 50 ... 32 ... 53 .. 107 .. 180

Andrea Bargnani  C  6'10" 225  C A- D B- C A
or
Andrea Bargnani  PF  6'10" 225  C A- D+ B- C A

Maybe it's different when you create him from an empty draft file, but I know no other way than to edit current players.

A far cry from those horrible A+ A defense/rebounding ...
 Cheers

Maybe see what you guys get when you enter Paul's rookie numbers compared to what he came in with - then we can see if maybe SSBA's version of FBB has the same bizzare results.

no, Chris Paul was right on target. I triple checked that.

but no wonder, he averaged 16/5/8 with 2.2 steals and just 2.3 topg as a rookie

Well it's just plain weird that we get what we get when Spurs enters the stats - and no doubt he's doing this correctly, I think we all agree the enter rest of the draft looks bang on - but everyone else is getting the same sort of numbers for Bargs with their versions. I guess FBB has identified the Raptors need for a star frontcourt player and is waiting to hand us the lottery  Thumbs Up Moon

I changed the draft file.  I took the player that was Brag's and gave him another name, Patrick O'Bryant, and regenerated his ratings.  Then I tried again with Barg's and got something different.  He still is a good rookie but not outstanding like before.

That's fair. That was a clever way to around a weird FBB glitch. What did the "new" Bargs turn out like?

Good move. I don't think even a very good defensive rookie (like Oden) would be considered any better than A- defensively.

Didn't mean to bash you on my post or anything ,btw. But we've seen some Gms actually losing some interest in DJSL with Earl having a good rating, I just don't like it to happen here, especially since he talent level generated in SSBA is way below DJSL standards, IMO.
