This deal cannot be completed until day 41 due to the inclusion of Raul Lopez and Bo Outlaw (who was signed on the first day of FA).
This deal is also broken into three separate deals so as to make it legal under the rules of the cap.
Deal One:
Magic Trade: Pavel Podkolzine $1,141,560
Sonics Trade: Bo Outlaw $1,000,000
Deal Two:
Magic Trade: Tony Battie $5,200,000
Sonics Trade: Michael Olowokandi $5,949,570
Deal Three:
Magic Trade: Caron Butler $2,448,714
Sonics Trade: Raul Lopez $2,000,000
The total deal works out this way (to be easier on the eyes):
Magic Trade:
Pavel Podkolzine, Tony Battie and Caron Butler
Sonics Trade:
Bo Outlaw, Michael Olowokandi and Raul Lopez

the deal basically gives me a legit center who averages 14 and 10... it also gives me some depth on my point guard spot... this deals gives way for future deals.. that could probably include a guy like Stevie... but we'll see how it goes... |

This gives the Sonics a big-time project/prospect at Center. Lopez and Outlaw never played for me, and I didn't care to lose them for nothing.

i like the deal for the sonics because of pavel. he will maybe a good backup C. He gave up nothing. two aren´t playing at all and he can test pavel this year and next.
the only positiv for orlando is they get a backup guard if they trade Francis but i can´t understand the trade olowokandi. he won´t put up better numbers than woods (maybe one or two points?). They gave up two bigs for one?
And to split it in three trades to get around the rules isn´t pretty.

I don't think they did it to get around the rules, either way recently signed players are not effected by the "only 1 player going out rule"... they still have to wait... but, if i read this right, they did it like this so certain trades(of the 3), could be processed sooner... Like the Kandi - Battie trade could be simmed before the next sim... anyways, thats just my understanding and i could be completely wrong... |

anyway, this deal can be partially processed before day 41.. it is stated above that this deal cannot be completed until day 41, but it was not written that it can't be partially processed before day 41  also, its title speaks for itself as well...  Sonics / Magic completed deal ( After sim three - Day 41 sonicsgm, you've got to agree to it now |

Actually day 41 is AFTER sim 4. It is the start of sim 5. So parts of this deal cannot be processed until Sunday's sim.

I meant sim four....process it when everything can go through. Not when a little part of it can be processed.

Guys, please use the trade checker. Deal Three:
Magic Trade: Caron Butler $2,448,714
Sonics Trade: Raul Lopez $2,000,000 Doesn't work. However, all 3 combined do work. So this trade can't be broken up. And, I have no idea why it was broken up in the first place. Since Magic didn't want it processed until all 3 can be traded anyway. |

Sorry, Pavel was acquired on day 183...can't be traded until day 51. Sonics has requested that it not be processed until all 3 can go through. Unless SonicsGM changes his mind by posting here, the trade will not be processed until next sim.
