While Joe Smith is better than Darko this year, I basically only gave up my pick to get him.  I feel that there's no PF I could get with the pick that would be better than him.  The best players in the draft are C's and PG's, both positions I'm already strong in.

Agreed

I wanted to move one of my bigs because I like to run a 3 man rotation up front (same with my backcourt). Darko is an excellent prospect, but I think I will be able to get a very talented player in the draft with the Knicks pick.
The pick is also a very tradeable asset with no limitations attached.

I don't think so, I would think that Hornets wouldn't propose the deal if he knew it wouldn't work.

He ha to be the only player traded from his side. Therefore, this works.

guys, please specify the pick.  Knicks 2007 pick doesn't cut it.

Yes, I could go to the bulls team page and see that he only has such and such pick from the Knicks, but I shouldn't have to.

I like Darko...  19 year old A potential player with A- defense already.  Like this trade for both teams.
Only players in the draft comparable to Darko are Chase Hoiberg, Tony Curran, and Carl Harpring, and none of them has even close to Darko's potential.
But Big Jake, Magloire, and James are a big combo at the PF/C spots, so Darko was excess...  and adding a lottery pick to the Hornets already potent lineup will be scary.

Just include whether it's a 1st or 2nd round pick.  No big deal Smile

Team - round - year.  3 necessary components.
