Interesting deal.

The Sonics were looking for a scoring frontcourt player and took Larry at age 35 who is anything BUT a frontcourt player, and probably just a veteran backup for Manning now. Neither should start up front killing the team with non-existing rebounding.
Still, not a bad deal considering what they gave (nothing) but not filling their needs either.

And while the Knicks could be happy to get ANYthing for the Birdman, I'm not sure 3 below average players and a pick projected 25-29 can even be considered anything. I had rather kept the expiring legend ...

I wasn't looking for a scoring frontcourt player, I was looking for a scoring Forward.  Bird will be a perfect 6th man (backing up Manning at SF, and possibly Welp/Corzine at PF) who can add scoring off the bench.  Wiley Peck is a solid backup, but nothing special when it comes to putting the ball in the basket.
