There must be some excitement building among the rest of you over the next sim, as I know I am getting excitied. Lets take a look at what could happen...

Eastern Conference

The Sixers have cemented themselves in the 2 seed. The Pacers and the Raptors will battle to the end for the #1 seed and the top of the conference. However, after that, there are 6 teams seperated by only 2.5 games battling for those last 5 spots. Conceivably the Magic, currently 9th, could finish 4th with home court advantage - however it looks as if the Cavs will hold onto the 4th spot considering how hot they have been recently.

Predicited standings after sim 12:

1. Pacers
2. Sixers
3. Raptors
4. Cavs
5. Hornets
6. Nets
7. Celtics
8. Hawks

Western Conference

The Rockets have locked up the 2 seed. The battle for #1 will come down to the Warriors and the Suns. After that you have the same predicament as the East - 6 teams within 2.5 games of 4th. Will be another great battle. Look for Mavs to rise in this final sim.

Predicited Standings after sim 12:

1. Warriors
2. Rockets
3. Suns
4. Grizz
5. Mavs
6. Clipps
7. Lakers
8. Blazers

well, Nets have the easiest schedule among the "quest for #4" teams. Hornets are more or less through. And the Cavs are simply too good.

But the rest is wide open, and I think the Magic are good enough to earn a playoff spot themselves. It will come down to the direct matchups of Hawks with Magic and Celtics. Both need to win in Atlanta to have a chance, and one of the two won't make it.
