After viewing Harper's value around the league (which is shockingly low, contract be damned) this quickly became the best available package. Mahorn's a big expiring and a solid centre to boot, and I'll likely let Price walk in the offseason unless he's willing to take a massive pay cut.

Damn I wish I had had more flexibility under the cap to make an offer for Harper, I think atom gets a hell of a steal here. I don't neccessarily think its a bad move for the Wiz, but I like Harper, I think he would make a superb backup guard.

I lose talent-wise, but I'm more than happy to sacrifice talent for cap flexibility in this case. Harper wasn't going to be a part of the next great Wizards team, so it was time to cut him loose for the best available package.
