Wizards trade:
Byron Scott

to the Nets for:
Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf
John Bagley
Jon Outlaw
A 5mil TPE is purchased to balance out salaries on the Nets to Wiz side (both teams chip in $200 to cover the cost)

Nets agree. Scott is not ball dominant and should help my overall team D, helping me win more now. Love Mahmoud as a prospect, but he's not projecting to be better than Timmy imo and should top out at Scott if he's lucky, which I'd be fine with.

Additional Note (due to Nets brain cramp):
Nets send their 2028 2nd round pick to the Wiz as part of this deal.

Wizards accept, and cut Brady Martin to make roster space.

I love Scott, but I had to move on. MAR is an interesting little prospect, so we'll see what happens there. This was mostly done for cap relief, which this trade accomplishes nicely.

I need to bulk up some to keep up with the Joneses - though it might be too late for that. Scott should play well with my team, and looks built for the playoffs - though this kind of addition this late comes with its own share of risks no matter how good it looks on paper. I hope its a seemless transition.

Well you gotta like this for the Nets, I think this really improves their team and gives them a legit shot to battle with my Raptors, the Pacers, Hornets and Sixers. I think the Nets really needed to improve on offense, and the fact that they get a guy to help them on that end and an A defender at the same time is pretty nice. Great deal for the Nets.
