only hornets are in control with a solid 3-0 lead. nets took game 2 but we were able to get it right back in the next game. scoring seems to be pretty easy in this series. sabonis is doing a nice job scoring from outside. still hopson is playing to many mins right now. he is doing an ok job against mj and is also scoring enough but i fear playing him 40+ mins will wear him out.

Ouch, took a road game only to lose the advantage shortly thereafter. We're losing the battle of the bigs, which is a concern but entirely expected.
Gonna make some small modifications to see if we can't pull out an upset.

well, as long as the Nets heavily rely on rookies to be the defensive stopper / 2nd option behind (somewhat disappointing) MJ they won't go anywhere this series, not even against the shorthanded Pacers. As the old saying goes, youth doesn't win. But their time will come soon ... Cavs are about 2 scorers (and a quality bench) short, and if you thought O'Neil would work better against Macy than Schader hasn't watched O'Neil's career too much. Probably one of the more overrated guys. But as long as George/Nique kill Chuck (Nique's 18 in 11 minutes were impressive) this series will last one more. At least it seems i got the 2nd round right here. GS vs Spurs is hardest to predict. Not because of the Warriors who will take it if Lester stays close to triple double land, but because the Spurs remind me too much of my Celtics of the last few seasons. The can get you 130pts one day and 85 the next, so whichever team shows up in game 5 will decide the outcome. In a game 7 I see a 25pt Warriors win, so Doug better takes the next 3. Mavs have too much frontcourt for the Blazers and another rookie having too much responsibility. Hard to imagine he was #19 pick (and harder to believe he was picked with MY pick there, damn Nuggies), and easy to see how good the Blazers could be if Hakeem hadn't bolted, but this won't help them this series. Unfortunately. Mavs in 6. Damn, just that Nuggets collapse will keep me from a perfect round 2 bracket. AND round 3 bracket. Thank god i didn'T pick them champ ...

Man that sux, we lose by 7 in Dallas despite Zeke's 40/15 spectacular perfomance. Then we take away home court from Dallas with game 2 win. Zeke and Kerr played great but Kersey needs to improve.
Too bad Dallas took back homecourt with close win in Portland in Game 3. Zeke had a triple, but a wrong one, 10 turnovers, that made a difference i guess. Kerr played great all 3 games.

Whew, glad to have this lead. I was worried after the regular season matchups. I'm a little confused as to why the Cavs made such major lineup changes compared to the regular season, since they did very well against me previously.

hmm, that lineup worked well for them in games 4-7 against the Celtics, maybe they just forgot to switch everyone back. Embry/Tripucks sure aint no Stockacy ...

well the nets made some changes that really hurt my team. we needed all our luck left to survive a game 7 with 10 down at half time. i think the advantage that my bigs created was in the end too much but it was way too close imo. Great series nets . hope i can get a big FA this season to keep pace with your team next season. next up hornets. without shultz i might make it a high scoring game with a new lineup. still undecided.

Great series Spurs... Looks like Vern and Barkely had quite a battle at the SG position...
And now on to the Mavs, who we are 1-3 against in the season series, and that one win was with an injured Phil Hubbard. Not a good matchup for my young Warriors.
What is worse, is that two of the major players on the Mavs used to be Warriors, Phil Hubbard and Mark Wooten...

Man, I'm really lucky that Shultz is out. He killed me last playoffs.

I'm like 0-3 against you in the playoffs. Regular season means nothing.

You have a completely different team then the last few times... I tried Hubbard because he choked so badly when we lost the the Hornets in the Finals a few years back... Now, he is the top offensive scorer in the playoffs... I do enjoy the irony I just have to hope the Ewing Corollary kicks in one series early

Congrats, Pacers. At least it was close this time....
Shifted the offense to inside and got a little more playing time for Aguire and Wanzer to put more pressure on the Pacers D, and it came quite close to paying off. Seven game series, and we lost both games by 4 points - this group showed alot of moxie.
Happy to be onto the off-season, though the FA pickings have thinned out....better win rating than last year, and just as much cash, so I'm hoping for another big surprise.
