well, I made a big mistake in my DC, putting a guy from IL in as starter (T. Wu) because my current starter (E. Wu) was injured ... but forgot to remove him from IL, and so he didn't play.
Too bad I was exactly one deep at PF - a rookie with C- defense was all I had there, and it cost me.

Overall it was one of our weaker sims, 4-5 overall, and while the road win at Sacto (finally a 1pt game in my favor) was great, home losses to the Mavs, Nuggets, Pacers and Cavs were not.

Still not sure which way to go, but it might be the appropriate time to either make a push (which means entertaining offers for my picks and young guys) or go younger (which means entertaining offers for Mahorn and Wu)

btw, Anthony Mason was in fact doing good in the 6 game he carried the burden of lone PF representative. 6ppg, 10rpg, and suprisingly playing tough defense (for a C- guy) against the likes of Mike Mitchell, Dwight, and Armon Gilliam, holding each of these below their season numbers.

Only Phil Hubbard badly exposed him.

Still, a B- performance from a rookie thrown into the cold water ...

damn it. I must admit, the Hornets are a good team. But I still have at least 2 more games to more games to prove I can beat the hornets.

haha

I had their backcourt locked down, stockton had an abysmal performance with 5 out of 21 from the filed, with macy shoooting 9 of 22. Turnovers killed my team, but Nique had a nice outing.

washburn got injured too, my teams 2nd best rebounder. lol

Nique !

Thank god he's back, we we're really missing his great influence on the hornets.
Just get's a little more parity in the eastern conference ...

In much the same boat as the C's - hanging around the top of the Atlantic, playing just a shade better than .500, in the middle of a rebuild....could go either way. MJ was out for three games and two of the Nets three losses this sim. Ian Magliore is playing like a man possessed as an option, up to 17.5ppg/5.1rpg/9.7apg on great percentages .492/.857/.479.

Seems like all the teams in the market for talent are out there looking for the same thing, so it might be best to just keep plugging along. MRob joins us after the next sim, so that should be a nice boost.

Darren Rice down for 67 days with sever depression, yikes...I guess he enjoyed his 2 sims last season when he was #1 option, now that Hakeem is here he must be angry with being #2.  This is going to kill any shot I had at the playoffs in the east.  Losing a good defender and my 3rd leading scorer.

5-2, a so-so sim, relatively speaking. An injury to Hinson may have hurt in our loss to the Hawks, since Hakeem dropped a whopping 46 at PF. Ouch.

Anyways, we spanked the Magic, which was the real goal of this sim.  Thumbs Up

Well, I am very surprised, and pleasantly so.

My backcourt has been doing extremely well, and I think that Lester Conner should be up for MIP (if the reward actually existed)

Team defense has been very good this year, and Taylor Doleac has been a very pleasant suprise for me.  I did not think he would be capable of playing the SF spot well, but he has been doing great.  vern has been as good as usual, and the frontcourt trio of Hughes, McCray, and Pettit is rebounding like crazy.

Warriors are doing much better then I expected....

Well the start of the season has been much better than expected as we have gone 12-4 since a 3-4 first sim. Hopefully we can carry the winningness into the later stages of the season after the trade goes through. Buck has been playing fantastic, as have everyone else really.
