Oh my....this couldn't have worked out much better....after the playoff disappointment, and dismantling a strong team, wow....Michael  Cheers

I took a calculated risk that, with my win% about as high as I could ever expect it entering a FA when there were two generational talents available, that I might have a crack at one of them. Couple that with my frequent poor luck in here (lottos, FA, and TC's) and I secretly hoped my luck was about to turn - and I couldn't have been more lucky than I have been this year. I didn't really expect things to come together like this, but am thrilled that they did, and whatever luck I had stored up is all used now. Tough situations in MIA and PORT.

Thrilled to have Ian back in the fold as well. With MJ and Danny settled as my two stars moving forward, Mags supporting, Pryz hopefully developing, I love where this team is heading.

Turns out the Hawks trade with Celtics was worth it as well....adding Smits and Hakeem in the same off-season is wild and drastically changes their fortunes.

I'm shocked at the 76ers signing - it came out of left field  kinda, but what an addition. Came at the expense of Joseph Hughes, but I'm sure thats an acceptable tradeoff from Philly's perspective. I will watch to see how the frontcourt lines up....there's some massive talent in that trio.

Nice job by the Nets, they could get back to the playoffs faster than expected
(and no, they won't get there with Mags playing PG - which he isn't - and Bill/Jon forming the frontline and a rookie SF)
But MJ is a nice starting block.

And I truly expect a "thanks" award from the Hawks now !!!

Jim Paxson has taken a CPU offer from the Wiz, fine. One less thing to worry about. Too bad my prime MLE targets signed elsewhere, not for that much more than i offered ...

they still have 9mill to spend and should be able to get some frontcourt help. east is getting tougher every year. i think only the hornets are currently ahead of the rest.

I have to say that your "calculated risk" move is one of the best GM moves I've seen in a while.

With the signing with Munson, I just thought that MJ and Akeen is out of my reach with the Nets, Blazers and Heat as the frontrunners. And Munson is the next best thing outside MJ and Akeem. Althought, it came with the expense of giving him a hefty amount of contract and Joseph Hughes.

Oh, Tom.....

God love ya'. I'm going to post this little quote on my virtual corkboard to motivate my virtual guys. You can expect Mags to go off for 30/10 consistently on you now, and you brought it on yourself.

Thanks.

And don't get me wrong, I'm not taking a jab at your signing - I think it was very shrewd. The only thing your frontcourt is missing is height, but Munson has shown that he can overcome it. If Strickland is dynamic right out of the chute, which seems very possible, I think you've really improved your team.

feel free to do so. but if MJ and company need some motivational post-it to show some effort you probably just wasted a lot of money ..

typical TOM. there is no one in the league who wouldn?t take the nets roster over their current and he is talking about motivation problems  Laughing
I mean the nets have a numer 1 pick, a solid big rookie and a 24 year old superstar  Shocked as a core. they also have 4 first round picks in the next years and 20 mill cap space to play with. Well done.

couldn't agree more. this is a great core to start with.

no idea why he brought up his motivational problems then, I'm sure he doesn't expect MJ to bring a title home this season already, so there's zero pressure on this young team ...
