my team is probably now declining too fast to get back into the PO picture but at least i can still win against nets and raptors  Very Happy

bulls are 0-17 after day 20  Shocked  the bulls have 3 guys avg. 20 pts but can?t score over 90pts or defend anyone.

Probably the ugliest sim i've watched for a long time.

Celtics went 3-3 thanks to beating the 0-17 Bulls twice by one point each, and winning a 73-57 stinker against the Lakers where the teams shot a combined 31%.
Lost to the Pistons which is usually no problem, but after seeing them lose to almost everyone BUT the 0-17 Bulls and me (3 of their 5 wins) it's depressing. Also was blown out by the Heat and lost at home to the lottery Clippers.

Can't get much worse than this sim.

some in depth stats:

lost to the bucks mainly because metha owned newcomb on both ends can?t really blame the guy.
won against nets despite having my starting 5 in foul trouble the whole game. but my backup PG, my backup PF and my backup SF did a heck of a job keeping me in the game.
had a nice win over the raptors with my bigs doing the job on both ends. too bad that kersey wasn?t playing.

I don't understand.

pretty easy finding reasons for that record, but IMHO it all starts with this: you can't shoot.
your .419 fg% is 2nd worst in the league (*), and your whole frontcourt of Stip/Gminski/Bias is at a combined 36%. All that while scoring nearly 50ppg, so they take a LOT of shots, rather say they MISS a lot of shots.

combine that with .494 opponent fg% (worst in the league by a landslide, next are Wolves at .471) and you know you are in trouble. You are next to last in shot blocks, so that doesn't help in that regard.

taking care of the ball is also is an issue, Ransey getting 5.4topg is horrible.(note: I told you before, in the trade thread "well, let's hope Sura or Porter can start PG as there's no way Ransey should ever get close to ball handling", so no surprise there).

But I think there's a chance you can get back on track, though it will require some setup changes.

(and you can always look at the positives: at least your team is somehwat young !!!)

I got what I expected from the Hawks this sim, 1-3 against some good competition.  The Hornets and Nets both beat us, and we split with the Wizards.  LaFrentz is playing out of his mind, but without the wins who cares.  Ennis Whately is still playing very well, 11.6 assists to 2 turnovers per game.  That is an outstanding ratio and he is close to answering any questions I had about him being a starting PG, but my inside game is far too weak for me to even think about competing for the playoffs this year.

I don't know why I can never beat the gosh-darn Pacers.

Satisfied with a 5-2 sim - pt differential was +22 over the seven games - so clearly we can put the ball in the basket, and only one team topped 100pts. Nice transition considering I had a new starting C and two other new guys playing significant minutes. HUGE statement game against the Bucks (I think my biggest point differential in a game, though Mehta was out) and huge wins against the upstart Hawks, and Pistons.

Gonna toy with the lineup abit to see how the best DC shakes out - I think I started Bradley last sim, and am not exactly sure why. I think I'll give Mags a crack at the 2 - I think he can be quite dangerous there.

Robinson is absolutely amazing. He's already one of the best players in the league. I think that as soon as Person and Schader come in to provide some outside shooting, the team will start clicking.

Definitely pleased with a 4-1 sim after the DC changes I made; the sky has stopped falling in Denver today!

What changes? Cliff back to the bench, Kleine started at C and Borgmann at PF. Changed to a slow pace as well.

Collins was rediculously good this sim between the first and last game:

W+15 vs PHX: Collins 31pts on 12/21; 3/5 from 3
W+28 vs SAC: Collins 41pts on 17/24; 5/8 from 3; 9reb, 6ast
W+10 vs NO: Collins 44pts on 15/27; 4/5 from 3; 4reb, 3ast
W+33 vs LAL: Collins 38pts on 14/24; 7/10 from 3; 5reb, 6ast, 2stl

Team stats from the sim:

C: Kleine - 8.8/9.4/1.8/1.4/0.2
PF: Borgmann - 10.6/9.8/1.2/2.0/2.2
SF: Collins - 34.4/5.8/4.0/1.2; 3.4to
SG: Magic - 21.4/8.0/4.2/2.6; 2.0to
PG: Evans - 13.6/3.8/8.8/1.8; 2.4to
sub: Cliff - 9.4/5.0/1.2/1.4
sub: Macauley - 3.6/6.2/1.4

Funny how Magic's and Evans' turnovers are way down from last year, and Collins' way up.

Two other things I'm wondering:
1) I wonder why the Pacers always seem to have my number?
2) I wonder if Tom is sleepy today? Not as many comments on last nights trades as would usually be expected

Well. 4-2 sim with my DC instead of the CPU's. Don't understand what is up with Kersey - same guy who lead the league in assists in PS1 with 10.1.

+20 win over the Blazers - Buck blew up with 34 points including 10-11 FT and 20 rebounds.

+28 win over Sonics - This was the frontcourt show. Willis had 29 and 11, Buck had 25 and 15. Held the entire Sonics frontcourt (all PFs or Cs who played in the game) to 28 points.

-9 loss to the Sonics - Figure that one out. Buck and Kev were absolutely shut down and the Sonics froncourt killed us. Had 2 guys with 10+ assists, that doesn't happen very often unless you are the NBA Raptors.

+2 win over Kings - Kersey got hurt and only played 11 minutes, before that the 3 games this sim he had 9, 9 and 10 assists so it looks like he'll be fine. Buck had an incredible 35 points and 22 rebounds.

-THIRTY EIGHT to the pacers - Ouch! A spanking. Cato had a ok game with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in his first ever start. Wingate had 18 boards off the bench.

+29 over the Wolves - Total team effort.

Definitely not as good a sim as the first, but that's to be expected. Still happy, but some adjustments need to be made to involve Nique a bit more, and to cut down on Stockton's turnovers.

Well, that was much a much better performance form the Warriors, with a 4-2 sim.
Tyson Thurmond was injured, and Dylan Pettit came in to start...  and put up 7 double digit rebounding performances. Shocked

Team seems to play a little better with Barton not starting...
+5 rebounding differential, and getting to the line 29 times per game is what is saving me right now...

I will stick with Barton from the bench for now, I think.
